tv shows

what tv shows is everyone into these days?
reality? drama? action? anime?

i've been looking to fill a gap since the 4th season of dexter ended. one piece and naruto have only been able to do so much. especially since i became one of the last beings on planet earth to stop watching heroes (respect to anyone who is following it right now, let me know if it picks up). that show went pretty sour at some parts.

recently a friend finally succeeded in making me watch the oc. as much as it shrivels me testes, i like it. maybe it's because i've also been watching californication and the two are polar opposite shows about the same place.

what are you watching at the mo?

Re: tv shows

I watch quizcoms like QI, Mock the Week, Nevermind the Buzz****s, Have I got News for You, etc, etc

Re: tv shows

I'm quite into Heroes atm, and Skins, but only cause it's filmed in Bristol, which is 20 minutes from where I live.

Re: tv shows

I've started to get into:

1. Alias (just finished season 1)
2. 24 (just finished season 1)

I've been tempted to purchase series 1 of Heroes but I'm not too sure if it'll be my cup of tea or not.

I refuse to watch anymore Lost after series 4. I so wish they hadn't gone the supernatural route - it's completely switched me off the show; even so, I just think it become crap at the end of series 2. I have absolutely no interest in learning how the show reaches a conclusion.

Re: tv shows

just finished watching misfits season 1, and in the middle of watching balls of steel and 8 Out of 10 Cats and naruto shipp. I would be in the middle of watching House and Stargate universe but my new sky hd box deleted the season so im waiting till it repeats to watch it :(

Re: tv shows

I am not a big TV guy, I normally stick to the net for my entertainment. But when I do, these are my favorites (Both done and continuing.)
True Blood
Battlestar Galactica (Both series')
Star Trek
Star Trek: Next Generation
Modern Marvels
South Park
Family Guy
The Simpsons
Robot Chicken
Some nature programs
Nova

I also watch FOX news alot.

Otherwise I do alot of Anime and Flash Cartoons on the interwebs.

I have heard alot about Dexter, but never found it on my TV schedule :(

Re: tv shows

I have just got into House which i think is awesome ! I'm about half way through Season 2 and so far so good lol

I've also been watchin a bit of Scrubs Season 9, not the same without Zach Braff but McGinley (Dr. Cox) and Faison (Turk) make it worthwhile :D

Re: tv shows

Hmm...I've just realized that there are quite a few TV shows that I watch...

Scrubs (Season 9 is very different, but definitely not bad.)
House (I just want his original three back. No more, no less.)
Survivor (Season 19 results SUCKED, but at least Russel is coming back in Season 20.)
American Idol (No, I'm not afraid to admit it.)
Glee (Again, I'm not afraid to admit it.)
Two and a Half Men
The Big Bang Theory
The Office
The Simpsons
South Park
King of the Hill
Invader Zim
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Dragon Ball Z
Spongebob Squarepants
The Misadventures of Flapjack
Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Re: tv shows

The Office - English version, I don`t like the American one
Stargate - I´m currently half way through the original series, but I`ve heard they are all good.
Supernatural - only seen S1, though.
Grey`s Anatomy - Yeah it`s actually surprisingly good.
Monk - one of my favorites, although I think it`s had a decline in quality recently
Lost - I partly agree with projectego, but I still watch it.
Battlestar Galactica - very good, I`ve only seen half of the series, but I still like(d) it.
Fringe - I only saw the first episode (House is at the same time), but it`s pretty good
IT Crowd - it`s pretty short, but one of the best comedy shows
Two and a Half Men - another good comedy
House - ofc, but it sometimes gets a little dull; mostly because of the repetitive "name as many complicated medical terms as you can in 10 seconds" and the overall "smart ass" conversations.

I also like "Ultimate Survival"/"Born Survivor" and "River Monsters" (they`ve only shown 1 episode so far, though) on the Discovery.
phew... overall, Stargate SG-1 is undoubtedly my favourite of these.

Re: tv shows

I've been trying to watch a few shows regularly, but it's our non ratings season right now, and Assassin's Creed II is taking up a lot of time. I liked this show called White Collar, about this conman who get's hired by the FBI to help solve cases. I love Dexter (the show, I'm actually not all too fond of serial killers), NCIS is great, and Burn Notice is a show I've recently gotten into. Lettermen is pretty good (does that even count?), Thank God You're Here. Old favourites Family Guy, American Dad, Simpsons, etc.

And as much as I love Ricky Gervais, I have to say I much prefer the American office. I want to like the British one, but I just don't.

Re: tv shows

I don't usually watch TV but when I do, it's either Top Gear, Family Guy or Shameless.

I know a few Americans that watch Top Gear, but I doubt they've watched Shameless.

Re: tv shows

I really need to watch the British Office. You can watch it instantly on Netflix, so I think I'll get to it in a few days when my finals are over.

And for those of you who like The Office, check this out.

Oh, and f*ck family guy.

Re: tv shows

Unless you like British humour, don't watch the British Office. You'll be depressed.

Why f*ck Family Guy?

Re: tv shows

I usually love British humour. I actually quite liked Extras. I just think the characters in the American one are a lot better. Dwight's great.

Family Guy rocks.

Oh yeah, and Top Gear is also good. It used to be great, but the last season was just so contrived.

Re: tv shows

Why do you think that? I love Family Guy. It's thoroughly entertaining.
