I haven't see a post like this yet, or I may have, but I don't remember it and I just did a quick search for a post similar to this and couldn't find one.

So, what does everyone listen to? What music do you all like? What bands/artists are your favorite?

Classic Rock mainly, though sometimes I listen to some older stuff. Been listening to some Johnny Cash at the moment. Also classical and video game soundtracks occasionally.

Not really into Rap or R&B or any mainstream stuff, it doesn't help that Manchester's apparently "best" radio station: Capital FM (which my sister always demands we listen to in the car) spews the same 'music for the masses' BS for 6 months in a row 15 times+ a day. And NO MATTER who I'm with everyone just has to listen that particular radio station. (There ARE other radio stations Y'know damn it!) I'd rather listen to Smooth FM anyday (yeah the songs are mostly from the 70's, but they're still great. Especially when compared to the non-stop ****e on capital.) Or X FM even better. And yes I'm aware that most of you aren't familiar with these stations (coming from other countries and all that) but I needed to get that out. Trust Me though. You don't want to be familiar with most of these stations, not when You have to listen to the same bloody songs over and over again!

Sorry for the rant...

Anything from the sixties, and most of the stuff from the seventies. I can even get into the trashy pop of the sixties.

Alot of newer alt rock, The Vines, Bombay Bicycle Club.

I like a lot of rock, especially classic rock, and I'll listen to a small amount of metal. The only kind of rap/hip-hop I'll listen to is The Streets, but that's not something I'll go for when I really want to listen to some good music. It's just fun to listen to sometimes. My top three favorite bands are (in no particular order) Led Zeppelin, Green Day, and The Strokes. Other bands/artists I listen to are AC/DC, The Beatles, The Byrds, The Clash, The Doors, Guns N' Roses, Incubus, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Tool, and The Who. My single favorite album is Phrases for the Young by Julian Casablancas. He's the lead singer for The Strokes for anybody who doesn't know. It's the only solo album he's done, but it's f*cking fantastic.

Agalloch, God Is an Astronaut, Rosetta, Anathema, Moonsorrow, Jakob, Jesu, Equilibrium, Alcest, Mono, Estatic Fear, Altar of Plagues, Les Discrets, Summoning, October Falls, Godspeed You! I haven't listen much X-Ray Dog and Immediate Music, but if YouTube suggestions and its viewers are right, then you should check out Two Step From Hell. I think it's pretty awesome, and got X-Ray Dog and Immediate Music as suggestions from their music, and some people talking about them. Which reminds me I should add that to my original post.
