What is Ur Desktop?

Re: What is Ur Desktop?

Great find. Too bad it costs money to buy the animated ones.
...
I don't get allowance. Nor a paypal. Muahahah!
+rep for the great find though. Not really my style though. A blood splatter would be good enough for me.
Not really an artsy type.'

EDIT: FOUND NEW DESKTOP!

Does that mean... PR0NZ?!
:P
I still haven't found a new desktop that fits my needs. Anyone know if there's like a program that allows you to use .gifs as desktops? That would be cool...

Just use Active Desktop.

That's what I do in order to get flash files as my desktop, but getting .gif files is a whole lotta easier than that. You shouldn't have any trouble with getting it to work.

Before I figured out how to make it work with .html files containing flash, I used it to litter my desktop with little .gifs here and there.

Windows can use gifs natively. You don't need any special programs or such, just assign a gif as your desktop.

Note of warning (DO READ): For animated gifs, you may want to reconsider. If you have a comparitively weak computer, perhaps with only integrated graphics chipset or just an underpowered graphics card, you will experience a huge slowdown when viewing your desktop. This is especially true for stretched or tiled animated gifs. The slowdown is enough to make it very difficult to undo the background change.

Though, Digital Blashpemy offers a different animation format, the Lightwave 3D format. I'm unfamiliar with it myself, but depending on how it works, it could work out okay. Still, what I said about animated gifs is very true and should be considered before trying anything.
tru dat. also (at least with windows XP)
your desktop icons look extremely unattractive with an animated GIF. they get all pixelated and grungy...

Re: What is Ur Desktop?

I've had to use a default wallpaper recently (sob) because my icons kept layering over each other and not always working when I selected them. I dunno why, but I reverted back to a sample image which came with Vista and everything went to normal instantly.

I miss my Rainbow 6 desktop....stupid Vista

Poor Angel. I have a Mass Effect wallpaper on mine. It came from my platinum Mass effect. I really love that game.:)
Mozilla Firefox is my favorite.^_^
