Dear Sparrow,
I woke up today in such a peculiar place. It's like a great big forest, with lots and lots of trees that go on forever. I was scared at first because I couldn't find you, but there's someone here who says he knows us, says he knows our family. He told me his name, but I keep forgetting it. Weird. I think he's a king or something. He's very thin and wears a hood and looks scary, but he's nice and I feel safe with him here. I hope you're okay Little Sparrow. Somehow I know that it's all going to be alright, and we'll be together again one day. He promised me.

scythe is not a king, he's a zombie. also, he doesn't wear a hood
and he was a minor character who only showed up in the extended story of fable 1.

if you were writing the story of a new fable game, would you really want to rely such an important plot role on a character that much of your audience probably hasn't heard of?

scythe is not a king, he's a zombie. also, he doesn't wear a hood

if you were writing the story of a new fable game, would you really want to rely such an important plot role on a character that much of your audience probably hasn't heard of?

scythe is actually the first archon of the old kingdom. ( william black) hes not a zombie either. Hes just really old, and deformed from entering the void ( realm of jack of blades). He plays a minor charecter, because he doesnt want people to know much about him. When his children became corrupt in the old kingdom, he ran away in a blue cloak and golden chainmail ( scythes clothes) and a century or so later, a hero going by the name of scythe starts to form the heroes guild with nostro, guildmaster, and maze ( and what is scythe wearing? blue cloak and golden chainmail)


trust me its scythe not jack. Also scythe is the only hero in fable that you cant kill ( twinblade, jack, theresa, briar rose, maze, guildmaster, thunder, whisper) and if u try to hit him he replies: your attacks are too weak. Which is true because scythe is so damn powerful

Scythe's undead. He is most likely a Lich, by the looks of it. Its more likely it is him due to his ability to stay alive for ages, and the fact that JoB is obliterated in Fable TLC. He doesn't exist anymore.

also looked up "lich" cus i was all: "dun be usein WoW terms in mah fable 2 therad"

acually yes... He's supposidely part of the main hero's blood line *you* and a archon that cheated death for so long. Seems like a perfect twist.

Calling an alternate ending and letter from your long dead sister an important plot is hardly accurate.

Scythe might not seem like a king to you - which is irrelevant. however Scythe was an archon and an immortal.
So Scythe did not have a hood in TLC - you don't think he could acquire one within 500 years?

Now tell me; why would Jack of Blades - a demon - take care of your big-sister and make her feel safe?

There are many ways of becoming immortal. Becoming an undead lich is one of them. And he really looks undead in Fable TLC.

i was calling scythes role secondary, not the strangers. you only see scythe in an expansion that was released years after the original fable.... the lost chapters was played by less people as the original was already an xbox classic.

furthermore, most fable 2 players have never picked up the first...and some of those who have downloaded it from the xbox live market place....which is the version that scythe isn't even in.

so tell me, would you want to rely the major upcoming plot twist (we assume) on this character if you were making fable?

Lets see, Scythe is an immortal former king who started the bloodline that both the Hero of Oakvale and the Hero of Bowerstone are descended from, has incredible power and for all we know is still wandering around the world.

Jack was permantly killed when his mask was destroyed, we know that the good ending is canon, just look at the images in the hall of fate. In Fable 1 those images documented your progress and in Fable 2 the image shown is that of the good ending.

so if I was making the game and I had to choose between the still useable character with ties to the storyline I was creating or the character I made sure was permanently killed off I would have to go for the former.
