Re: Who Killed More People In The Bible?

^Go ahead no one likes them... John doe that was inspriring, especially the penis part... because its true, and are you saying God is a weak minded fool colton? after all the omnipotent being believed that Lucifer was in tip top shape up until the point where Lucifer actually revealed his army and attacked... He decieved God even better than Cain did (Which was like a 5 second pause, or God was being a smartass to him)

God's existence is a matter of faith. Those who believe can, in a manner of sorts, know he's there. Those who don't believe can, in a manner of sorts, determine that there is not sufficient evidence to prove that he exists.

Back to the topic...

While I do hate to admit this, I do have to admire the role Satan plays in the bible. The duels between God and Satan to test a man's faith for the sole sake of seeing who has the bigger influential penis (similar to an e-penis) is just the kind of thing that would make for a good Shakespearean-style tragedy that I would break my no novel and no cinema streaks (each years long) to enjoy.

As for the large difference between who killed how many, there's a reason for that. Of course Satan can kill man, but he doesn't want to. He wants to tempt and corrupt the best of men. God, in the Old Testament, is more like a child with a magnifying glass, looking to make an example in the most godly of ways. In the New Testament, he takes on a more forgiving role. Perhaps becoming a family man changed things a bit.

god and satan are not a matter of believe they are/were actual reptylian beings with super brain, extra senses and superb technology.they used people for their selfish purposes as slaves.nothing philosophical or holly about them. The real god is the creative energy that we and our "wanna be god" bible gods fellows are hooked to.

Re: Who Killed More People In The Bible?

Satan's job isn't really to kill anyone, just get people onto his side so he can drag as many possible people to hell with him. It says in the Bible that he knows he has already lost so he'll try his best to take as many as he can with him. Therefore, Satan going around killing everyone would be a dumb move for him, since most people were Christians they'd go to Heaven, but screwing with their lives and letting them live might get them to his side which is what he wants. I tried to explain it as well as I could.

I'd actually say that Satan seeks revenge on man since he refused to bow down to them as an Angel. By corrupting the world and filling it with negativity, he'd have done what he wanted. It's a part of a long conspiracy series that was on youtube. I forgot what it was called.

Re: Who Killed More People In The Bible?

The whole idea of God and the devil is full of paradoxes. God cannot be omnipotent, since there would be absolutely no reason for anything to happen. Could God create a boulder so big that even he couldn't lift it? If he can then he's obviously not omnipotent, because he can't lift it. If he can't then he's obviously not, because he can't make it.

Satan has his own paradox. Since Satan tempts the weak into sinning, he must be evil, right? But he also punishes the sinners, so he's obviously good, right? Or does Satan get frequent flyer points for every sinner he punishes, so he's manipulating the whole thing?

Man initially created God in his own image. A guy who get's angry, who's jealous, petty, etc. Hence all the plagues, genocides, etc in the OT. The Jews grew up a little, decided that they wanted to be a more peaceful lot because they realised that no one likes them, so along came this guy called Jesus and talked about how God's changed, about how he's different now and that he actually just overreacts because he loves you all so much.

But that's still ignoring the fact that it's all just an astrological allegory.
