Communism is worse than terrorists, I guess. Or rather was, back then. The simple reason for the backing of the Mujaheddin was that the other guys were Commies.

You're insane though if you think it will bring the end of democracy, let alone the entire world.

My point, Democracy has run it's course. A country only thrives when there is a war, and a single agreement as a HUGE majority. As big as the Middle-East is, The battles there do not make up a war, although it is so often called so. That kind of "war" is referred to as a conflict. Anywho,

That, or- hear me out on this- a "more free" form of communism.
Communism sounds really bad and all, but if you think about what has happened... Democracy has failed...

I got a new idea, how a Freedemocracy? Or how about modifications to a democracy? Somehow, there needs to be limits.

Well, that would rule out Communism... I would still say a completely new one, or a modification of Democracy. As I said, there needs to be limits.

I do not mean limits like, oh you are crazy for being a Christian and you are against the law, I mean more public control. The rest would sound crazy to you all, so...

Well, scrapping democracy you're scrapping the freedom of religion. So there. It's actually a hindrance in ruling a country, so it would be one of the first thing to go in your "new democracy".

Yea, then again, you do not exactly have to get rid of it. I see what you mean, like if the choice was a Monarchy or Communism. Communism has already been wiped out... Monarchy is okay, so we'll leave that. I think the best thing is either a modification of Democracy.... Yea, religion is a hassle.:hmm:

Freedom of speech (to a limit)
A government that does what and only all it needs to
A strong army to protect the Country

I'd rather see religion abolished. As a great philosopher once said - it's the opium of the people. If you want a super-duper type of rule you don't want people wasting their time and effort with such things because it doesn't really add anything to the govern of the country.

Hhhhmmm... I guess this is where we differ on our beliefs for a government. You cannot get rid of religion though. As much as you want to. People will still find ways.

That gives me an idea, if someone were to create a religion. If that religion were to catch on, and it was like a government type, someone could work off that religion to make it the government system. If you are understanding what I mean, you could make it so that only that religion could be practiced, which could be like, blowing money in the stock market or something. I don't know...

Our governments already have a religion of their own - they worship the All-Mighty Dollar.

On a more serious note - a government based on a religion is ultimately doomed to fail, because religions tend to focus on the spiritual and the after-life, while a government should be concerned about earthly affairs and nothing else.

Religion is the opium of the people - it just dulls their senses in a haze of spiritual and inconsequential things instead of, for example, taking a critical look at their government.

Religion shouldn't interfere in earthly matters such as government. When talking about it in this perspective you can't help but to be drawn to the conclusions of Marx and Nietzsche.

I've said it before and I say it again - I don't mind religion or religious people except when it tries to be anything but religion, like science or a way to govern. It is not.
