Re: Theresa - Conspiracy Theories *Spoilers*

Since even before the game came out i was sure Theresa was a villain maybe not the in your face type of villian but an evil mastermind who has her own motives and needs someone to do her dirty deeds for her so she doesn't get her hands dirty. Something tells me that her deal to live forever somehow plays into the fact that she cant really do much of anything herself. Also i think Sythe might play a role in Theresa's immortality at the end of the firdt Fable (if you let her live) you get a letter from her that says she met a man in blue robes and gold armor(sythe). Sythe is good. I think Sythe gave theresa her immortality with a binding agreement that she cant do anything evil.

but IDK this is my speculation.

Yes, I was very upset when she got shot. The emotions run rampant in this game. :(

Personally i think that the game makers chose the end where you send theresa into the void. There she made a pact with the sword of aeons just like scythe did (which would explain her being alive.) any complications such as if your hero had the sword how would it be in the void and her eyes could be explained by saying that things in the void have the ability to exist in two states. The void state, in where the real theresa, the real scythe, and the real sword are, and the albion state, in which "projection type things" of themselves are located. which is why Theresa could have gained eyes, because that is not her true body.

However, this is just my thoughts and probly completely wrong

EDIT: and it would also explain that quote "I see in other worlds then this one"

dude, she didn't make a pact with the sword of aeons in the void, because it wasn't in there, but Jack of Blades was...

Half of this thread is more like fan fiction than tangible theories.

Re: Theresa - Conspiracy Theories *Spoilers*

I'm sure you guys have read the in game book "The End is Almost Nigh"

It talks about the dude named Arthur Dandelion (possible lionhead reference? kinda pushing it) making predictions, one about the two brothers from those 2 quests that unleash those undead, one about a washing machine being made, and even an end of the world prediction. "the ground shall shake, and the past shall erupt into the present in a most bloody manner. Though perhaps a strange being shall transform into a dragon and lay waste to all that lives long time before that happens. What do I know? This isn't an exact science or anything."

Now, the last part there could be just Fable humor, but I think it's more than that. It stating that what it says may not be exactly true ties into the story. When it predicts the 2 brothers part it says they released howling death upon a town of blood, but it was stopped by the Hero of Bowerstone. Jack of Blades turns into a dragon, but was stopped by the Hero of Oakvale. So this end of the world prediction, in my opinion, is foretelling a major event that might happen in Fable 3. The ground will shake, maybe the spire has grown stronger and that vibration you felt while in it has spread throughout the world? The past will erupt into the present? This is where Theresa comes in. Maybe she uses the spire to bring back the fallen heroes and they seek revenge on the people that cast them out, and you have to stop them. Or maybe she really is the Queen of Blades and brings back Jack of Blades. I don;t think there's any way of knowing until we're told by Lionhead, but I think it's going to involve Theresa bringing something back from the past with the Spire.

And that's my two cents. Sorry it was so long.

Re: Theresa - Conspiracy Theories *Spoilers*

A few months ago, I posted my speculations about Theresa on a thread. But a total of three people saw it before the entire thread died. . . So I'm going to re-explain my thoughts on Theresa.

A while back I finished playing out another character. Tried going completely neutral this time (Geez, it was difficult). But that's another story. . . .

What IS interesting is after I finished seeing Theresa in the 'See The Future' mission-line, I get back to Murgo. He goes blabbering on, and then says this. . . "Well. Now that you know who my supplier is(talking about Theresa), I might as well give you this. She brought one last thing by". . . . Or something along those lines.

Not really anything important. Except the fact that he tells you -Theresa- is his -supplier-.

Now. It doesn't tell whether or not she has ALWAYS been his supplier. This is all speculative.

But IF she HAS been his supplier for the last 10-15 years, then that means Theresa was the one who gave Murgo the music box.

If Theresa was his supplier at the beginning of the game, then there is no doubt that she tried to set things into motion.
She was the one who convinced you to buy the thing. But she was also the thing's original owner? A tad bit fishy, if you ask me. . . .

Also, it never tells how Lucien finds out you found the music box. Another clue that Theresa may have been working behind the scenes from the beginning.
I also noticed how quickly Lucien's men got to Oakfield after Hammer and you get through with the water-filling quest.
Also, the shadow-court conspiracy. The fact that they use Theresa's shape as the middle shadow-courter guy not only rises suspicion, but makes sense in the long run of things. . . .

If you add this all up, this is what you have. . . .

Theresa, having supernatural abilities, knows you and your sister are heroes. (Maybe she killed your parents to get you on the streets? Dunno. about that one) She gives Murgo the box, and convinces you to buy it. You use it, and she informs Lucien. Lucien tries killing both of you, but for some reason fails at killing -you-. She walks up rather soon after, and raises you. She sends you off, and tells you about the Spire soon after you return. . .

Here's where the shadowcort stuff comes in. . . .
You are sent to Oakfield, and are told to help Hammer blabla. When you get there, Theresa(being the Shadow-king thing or whateverthehell) sends in the Hollow-men to give her time to tell Lucien to send in some peeps to get rid of Hammer's dad.
As if it was planned (;D), you leave right as Hammer's dad is being provoked. You get into the temple in time to see Hammer slam that **** into the ground. . . .
Next, you get to go find Garth. Theresa gets Lucien to send in some folk to kidnap Garth. This gives the Hero a reason to disappear for ten years. Enough time to plan all sorts of stuff.

You get back, and now Theresa has two of the three hereos. Time for the third!
Being a master of will, I'm sure Theresa messed up the Cullis Gate on purpose. . .
You get to Wraithmarsh, get to fight all sorts of junk, get to Bloodstone, and eventually have to go to the Shadow Court. I dont think Theresa was expecting it, being that she was THERE. . . .
Anyways, you get back, and she calls in the troops. You get to bust the **** out of a shard, and then go to Hero Hill (or whatever it's called). She dissapears, and Lucien shows up. He mentions "he only listened", implying (hypothetically), that he'd just been doing what she said. Or been going off of hints she dropped. Or something. . . .

Then, he shoots your dog and you, you go into a trippy dream, and you come back with the music-box. You use it to kill Lucien, and Theresa takes the Spire. The end. . . .

Just speculations. . . . Make any sense?

Yea the fact that Lucien says at the end that he was just listening makes me think she was informing him of what to do and where to go the entire game.

Re: Theresa - Conspiracy Theories *Spoilers*

I don't think there's a conspiracy. Murgo likely had the music box from Theresa, because she needed to give the strength and a reason to the hero to defeat Lucien. I don't think that Theresa ever wanted or needed to dispose of the hero, since he would stop Lucien.

Lets not forget that Theresa can see the future in her dreams, cards and many other ways, she just needed the Spire to amplify her power, which is better that she is in the spire than anybody else.

I believe, Theresa just wanted a wish from the spire and also secure it from Albion and the rest of the world, because the Spire could wipe out everything with just a single wish. However, so far the Spire doesn't seem to appear therefore it could have been destroyed, also Theresa appears again in Fable 3 and aids the hero once again, this means that her intentions weren't evil in Fable 2, she's just an usual mysterious character that doesn't want to reveal their intentions.

Re: Theresa - Conspiracy Theories *Spoilers*

There's always that. :p
As I said, all I stated was speculative. There is (and probably never will be) any proof on either side.

But if she turns into a baddy in a future game? I told you so. ;D

Re: Theresa - Conspiracy Theories *Spoilers*

My theory is a little more twisted: At first i bring up the point in the guild hall where you see the hero of oakvale holding the Blade of Aeons, this indicates that he had to send Theresa into the void, the realm of Jack! Which leads me to create my own pieces, maybe Jack, or even the queen of blades herself possessed or Made a deal with Theresa, possesion maybe? Then there is the input in Luciens diary, this makes me belive Theresa (Jack/Queen) had some involvation in Luciens plan to rebuild the Spire, maybe poisoning Lady Fairfax and Amelia to give him a reason to rebuild this structure, then she fed his ambitions through dreams and visions, to increase his greed and ambitions to the level when he wanted to purge the world of chaos and missery, then she had to manipulate the heroes to help her take the spire from lucien, first the Hero of Bowerstone, then hammer and so on. She contacted lucien to give him the location of hammer, and prompted him to take the abbot hostage and kill him of when she was watching, if she didn't come with him. She knew everything put it intro pieces, Lucien might even be just a role she played, isn't it strange that you never see both of them together at once? It might be because Lucien would recognize her and therefore she left when he was coming, or they might have been the same being, there are evidence enough for me to state this without sounding like a retard.

Re: Theresa - Conspiracy Theories *Spoilers*

My theory, after reading all of your theorys (Yea, that was one helluva 10 page book.) Is that, yes, she did indeed "stack the deck", but she did it so that you could become as powerful as you could be. The best way that I can put it is that Theresa forced you to grow, to be as hardcore as you could be, by making a villain as evil and as twisted as Lucien and The Spire. So in the end what im trying to say is that Theresa is a good, but some-what weird, hero.
