As far as gaming goes, this rig will unfortunately get you nowhere. I'm not sure whether the motherboard you have has a spare PCI-E slot for a graphics card. Luckily you have 2 DDR3 slots for RAM so you could expand it to a maximum of 8GB DDR3 which will make your computer go incredibly quickly but as far as gaming goes unless you have a good dedicated graphics card there's not a lot you can do.

Your single-core CPU is also a concern, especially when it comes to gaming.

Unfortunately I'm not sure what dual-core CPU's are compatible with that motherboard, I'm not too well versed in emachines' motherboards. Unfortunately I think you're stuck in terms of having a gaming rig.

This is what mine looks like.

Mine is a pretty mediocre gaming rig. The graphics card isn't that special but it is capable of running all the latest games, though probably not at the top graphics settings. It runs Fable TLC in full settings, along with Oblivion and such similar games.

The lovely thing about this is at least you already have a monitor, keyboard, and computer tower; However, what Noctus said is truth. That single core processor is going to hold you back A LOT when it comes to modern/current games. If you wish to "Future proof" your computer, you'll need to purchase a new graphics card, processor, motherboard (hopefully we could keep the RAM you already have to save some money). Don't worry, though, it shouldn't cost anywhere over 400 dollars to get your a good decent gaming rig going that should last you for a while.

As you can see, I'm very very close to being a PC gamer full time. All I need is another graphics card. My problem, however, is that my current one is built in to the motherboard. Not sure how to work around that.

Just plug the new card into your motherboard and your PC should recognize it as the primary card. I'm pretty sure you don't have to maually switch it.

You NEED to uninstall your "old" graphics cards. Basically, what you do is, plug in your new graphics card. Uninstall your old graphics card. Shut down your computer. Switch your VGA/HDMI/HMI (whatever monitor connection you're using) to your new graphics card. Start your computer back up, then install your new graphics cards drivers. I'd suggest DOWNLOADING IT from the website, because more-than-likely, the driver on the disc your graphics card comes with, is an old driver and might actually conflict with a lot of your .dll files, Windows files, and other driver files. So it's ALWAYS better to download your GPU's drivers from that manufacturers website.

Just remember, you NEED to uninstall your old "Graphics card", if it's integrated or not.

It's extremely hard to build a $400 dollar or less machine on CyberPower. The reason being is they charge you for their labor, so that price is in there, as well.

What I could do is list you a bunch of alright parts that could equal to or less than $400 dollars. You could order those parts and then build the computer yourself.

If you're running from a chipset and then upgrade to a dedicated card I recommend disabling the chipset in the BIOS because the two can clash and cause clashes.

At most I had to switch cards within Windows, I don't recall ever going into BIOS to do that.
