..If it has.

For me, the internet has without a doubt made me a more open-minded person over the past decade as I have learned so many things that I never would have learned through the media, schools, etc. I have more common sense now. I like to think it has also improved my social skills, because it's so easy to talk to people on here and be myself versus doing so in person, that it's gotten to the point where I feel more comfortable to have an outgoing lifestyle. My taste in music has also become a hell of a lot more broader and naturally I can touch type with ease.

Of course, it has also made me more perverted, seriously there's no going back from internet porn. I have become unfazed from all things horrific. Exploring and progressing through more forms of art that I didn't think I would ever be any good at, such as digital designing. But I noticed it's also set me apart from some of my friends and family, because they're less knowledgeable of what's going on around the world and the lot of them are old-fashioned, really.. it's pretty damn awkward when one of them comes across a 7 year old meme and shares it with their peers like it's the funniest thing in the world.

I began my time here as a mortal.
A weak, gelatinous blob of frailty and stupidity.

But now, the metamorphosis is complete.
Hate. Love. Anger. Joy. Sadness.
All have become one within the cocoon of the internet.
No longer a "He", but an "It".
Something less than human, but also something more.

I am the ultimate.

I am...

Black Dynamite.

I'm pretty sure I've been made more stupid... srsly.

I've become significantly more unaffected by even some of the most offensive and dirty sights the internet has to offer. Most are met with a perfect poker-face, whereas years ago I would've giggled at or have been disgusted by certain things - though you could put that down to the fact I was younger then, innocent mind at all that, though I don't think I've ever truly had one.

I'm certainly more open-minded, though I always have been due to my upbringing, but I've become more open-minded to the stranger things in this world.

Hentai's a martial art right??

Yeah, I'm not phased by much any more... Doesn't matter how politically incorrect it is any more, my dark humor knows no bounds. Not necessarily a bad thing. I figure that a joke's a joke. No subject matter is too extreme, people are just negating themselves from laughter (so long as it's a good joke). I practice what I preach by making fun of my own ethnicity first. Yeah, the holocaust was horrible, but I really think that even with the holocaust there's room for a joke or two. It's not like enjoying a good joke is going to make people go out and plot a sequel, is it? Besides, a lot of those really offensive jokes are hilarious.

I also think the internet's made me a better critical thinker than a public education ever could. Somehow, among all the Encyclopedia Dramatica and memephotos, I started genuinely caring about my perception of the world. I spent a lot of time paying attention to news and information I came across. One side to this is that there is much more clear evidence present when I designate someone as an idiot. Another side to this is that I can barely stomach how mainstream 24 hour TV news is designed. I can watch it for a minute and immediately pick out where the sensationalist propaganda is. Speaking of which, I've developed a huge dislike for propaganda of any sort. It's emotionally charged garbage that ignores half of the argument in hopes of persuasion. I figure that if the cause is so self-evident, the facts should be plainly laid out and the majority of people will conclude the same thing. I never want to be persuaded, only informed. Anyway, I choose my views carefully now and the results aren't just seen in pointless internet debates. I've made a lot of people look stupid in real life without sounding like an ignorant asshole, just someone who knows what they're talking about. That is truly something worth cherishing.

I'm a lot more cynical, and more aware of my own ignorance. I stay out of discussions I know I have very little knowledge about, but I read them to see other people's opinions on the subject and to gain a better understanding. I've become slightly ruder and a bit more of a douche lately, but that might be me releasing my stress on the internet, thought it's just as likely I've accepted that I have to stop caring about offending other people, which helps me put my views more bluntly and allows me to make jokes more often.

I've learned a lot about how people really think and what they think of others...not all of it good. Like the vault dweller above me it's made me a lot more cynical and i tend to stay out of a lot of discussions until I know enough about it, I mainly observe. Also nothing really shocks me anymore given the amount of disturbing things I've seen. My sense of humour has broadened somewhat and I mainly rely on the Internet for entertainment given how boring TV is in comparison.

Hitting people with hammers with the word ban engraved down the side of it outside of the Internet isnt nearly as accepted as it is here. The Internet has made me more open minded and as your open to thousands of peoples views on certain subjects its helped me articulate myself in debates better and helped me get points across to people with the ability to edit things I say. Just means I try more to edit my thoughts a little before spurting them out unlike what I would have done in the past. Also varied my tastes a lot more as I have access to more TV shows, Movies and Music than I ever would have without it.
