but you are right...it isn't racism either...as the US is extremely multi-racial.

But really, you can generalize. There are stupid people everywhere, not just in America. It really ****es me off that everyone in the world likes to believe that everyone in my country is a backwards hick when in fact, it's the very same anywhere you go.
Why can't we all just get the **** along and not have to insult people to make a point that isn't even valid?!

Each country has its own stereotypes - I don't know where they come from and I don't know how they continue, but they're there nonetheless.

Totally true about us Brits and the English language though - we seem to think that by waving our hands around and speaking very loudly and slowly somehow foreigners will not be offended and will suddenly understand every word we are saying :rolleyes:

Heaven forbid we should culture ourselves by learning another language...alienating other countries seems so much more fun...

Not ALL Americans are stupid. Although, somehow Obama got in office so clearly LOTS of Americans are stupid.

No they couldn't get any more stupid than they are now. My grandson was playing fable 2, he always keeps the orbs on, and he was using his mic. Here is the conversation:

American: Where are you from?

Grandson: Australia.

American: I didn't think Australians had X-box's don't you guys like ride kangaroo's to school and live in tents?

Grandson: Oh, yeah my favourite subject in school is crocodile wresling.

American: Really? Wow! How do you have an X-box?!

Grandson: Disables orbs
