Interesting.

Uh - I have no idea how this was posted to this section... should be in Bowerstone. Whoops.

I think it's a lot more complicated than that, and I'm not a fan of the political ad tacked onto the end (it cheapens the whole thing for me), but it's a pretty interesting take nontheless, and it definitely resonates.

Of course, I agree & disagree with the video. There's more than one insurgent group in Iraq, different groups were started for different reasons. It's just a complicated situation but I can understand and semi-agree with their opinions.

I thought it was interesting video until the "Ron Paul 2012" came up, and then I didn't care.

All those politicians are put into office by the 1% even if they say they are going to change things their loyalties don't belong to the people the make their promises too. My country seriously needs to stop voting for the two party system they are both owned the same minority with the same goals.

Are you the other 99%?

No offense, but a lot of these Occupy Wallstreet protesters don't understand it. Wall Street isn't the only problem here, Wall Street is a tool. Big businesses are also not the only problem. The main problems of this economic disaster: Corporations, Banks, Special Interest Groups, Federal Reserve and average Americans being stupid and buying things they truly can't afford.

Yeah, but the overall message is this: Screw the people who put their desire for money before the needs of other people. It eventually all leads back to big business.

Yea, like Arse said, they know that wall street isn't the only problem. And I would hope that at least some of them know that big business also isn't the only problem. In fact, I feel like both of these things, along with everything you listed, might be more like symptoms rather than problems. The real problem is capitalism.

I heard enough about the guy to hate him, even though I'm not sure it's right. But yeah, the video was pretty good.

What have you heard that makes you hate him?
dun remember. But it's said he's not a great guy. Although, now that I think about it, didn't he say some anti-atheist stuff? I dun liek dat at all. Srsly.

^Eh, I disagree with him about a lot of stuff, but he's the only one who would fix some stuff that I want to see fixed.

tl, dr version: Capitalism blows chunks.

It does however make people dress up as zombies which is kewl.

Heh, at least that was a very well done ad. You know what we got in Canada for elections? Conservatives say "LOWER TAXES!". And then they win.

And first thing I thought when I heard "Chinese in Texas" was Fallout. :P

That is what Marx was trying to tell people all along!

It's a good message. Any kind of thinking in the US that makes people look at how the world sees us is very lacking in this country.

Even if it's for a political campaign, I'm just happy he's putting something out there that will force even a few people to think that way for half a minute.

Question of the Thread:

If not Capitalism, what would you have as an economic form of government?

Tell me why you would pick said form and explain how and why it would be better than Capitalism.

Tsuyuism.
