Ask The Staff 'Anything'

^Shush! They are having a discussion, it is only 4 posts off... This is ask the staff anything, not talk about spiders... But they discussed that. I don't see why religious talk is so bad, so long as it doesn't get out of hand!
^Shush! I don't care. It's still off topic. And as this is "Ask the Staff 'Anything'", and not "Talk about praying to God", maybe they should talk religion in the PM/visitor message.

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

Maybe you didn't learn from your ban that you are not a staff member and have no reason to try to tell other members what they should discuss. If it's a problem a moderator will say so.

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

^Whom... and yes Gunman, and to avoid any catastrophe I am re-ignoring you...

To Staff: What is your favorite dinosaur... And if you were a dinosaur, what dinosaur would you get married too? (P.S I like dinosaurs)

Yes.

@Staff: Does it ever bother you to see or hear the use of "ect." as opposed to "etcetera" or "etc."?

Sorry, bud, but I gotta be a smartass. A typo "ect." instead of "etc." might not annoy me, but spelling "et cetera" "etcetera" would. I only took one year of Latin, but et and cetera are still separate words. "and" "the rest."

Also, are ANY of the staff really freaked out by spiders, or is it just members with that particular psychoses? (I'm pretty sure I'm misusing that word horribly, yes.)

And is it pathetic that Maryland's biggest lake (covers about 4,000 acres, with an average depth of about 27 ft and a max depth of about 75) is manmade? Worse, manmade by a company from Pennsylvania?

@Staff - what is your ideal way of spending alone time?

Some horrible answers could emerge from that question. :ermm:

Is it true Mourmans can sleep with loads of women and pass it off as their religion? :o

No problem, I understand that. I go by Merriam Webster which says either one is correct, though I will concede that "et cetera" is the more proper spelling.

Them folks went right to hell when Merriam joined up, the dilletante. Also, horrifying question there.

Be nice to the Mormons. They dropped polygamy years ago (barring the FLDS, and skipping over the fact that they only did it to appease the US). Personally, I'd be more concerned with the whole "Jesus came to the US after he was crucified" and the "pre-Colonial Jews in America are the ancestors of Native Americans."

I wasn't being mean. :)

Just a simple question from a simple teenager is all, i heard about it and i was like "where do i sign up?"

xD

Not to worry. Just go looking for the Sinister Cultist Edition Mormons. They'll do ya.

EDIT: Also, I did honestly forget the whole "STAFF" bit of this thread, this time. Ooops. Me forgetful. Usually I do it on purpose.

Spiders dont bother me at all, thats been covered already though.

Does make it sound less of a big deal that its manmade and not from mother nature.

Eating pizza, drinking beer and playing video games usually.

Thanks Tsuyu, that just made me lol again.

Hey, Tsuyu, where can I find out more about Cthulhu stuff?
Like Love-Craftian stuff..

I'm sorry, but I gotta answer. I aplogize to the staff ahead of time.

Trawgdor: read Lovecraft's books. (Or is it just short stories? Iunno.)

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

Lovecraft actually never wrote any books, he only wrote long and short stories that were published various magazines and such. Personally I own a couple of books where someone has put them all together.

However, you can usually find them on the internet such, like lets say, here.

I'd be more than happy to recommend you my favourites.

Well, there are the few longer stories, such as "The Call of Cthulhu", "The Shadow Over Innsmouth", "The Shadow Out of Time" and "At The Mountains of Madness".

If you can stand reading longer stories, those are great introductions to Lovecrafts work.
