I was thinking about getting a tablet, but I'm poor and I am a terrible artist so I see no point. More of a "I'm going to screw around now" kind of thing.

I was, before I got a tablet.

Get a Wacom Bamboo Pen and get practicing, honestly. Once you raise you skill level with a tablet, the world of drawing is at your fingertips.
