It's been awhile since I fished, but the more you fish, the bigger they get. It's not uncommon, to catch fish over 1000.

I know this is a major bump/nerco post, but I wanted to show this fish. 3.6 million grams. I usually catch 100thou or less, when I fish at all. I did not mod to get this btw.

I don't think it is a glitch. I was killing guards in the guild and fished alot while waiting for them to respawn, like 200+ times over the course of a few hours. It seems that Hex was right:

you can catch them anywhere really... they get bigger and bigger the more you fish

that's mere peanuts man mine is like 1056 g . fish is the lost bay. i will post a screenshot.
when you talk to the people in fisher creek they will say that the fish in northen wastes are big.
