Now to be fair Sean, there are gems out there. Its true a lot of crap is being mass-produced to feed the "anime craze" going on, but you shouldn't put it all in the same crap pile.

(The) Grave of the Fireflies is a wonderful movie. Ironically fitting as you mentioned the bombing of Japan, and this movie is about wartime Japan.

i hate anime too... i liked DBZ and pokemon when i was ... 12 ish? but now i cant stand them or any other anime

If you judge all anime by 'commercials'(yes those shows are nothing but toy commercials!) such as the Pokemon anime you're quite ignorant.

Agh, somehow I knew that I would be wrong about that. But I couldnt think of anyone else. Just pretend I used a Marvel female. And then pretend my remark was very witty and then pretend to give me rep for it.

On the subject of anime, I love it. Im new to it and have only seen Death Note and now Im watching Bleach, and I really like it. You know, the good anime, not that 10 year old stuff.

I only like the darker more mature anime, not the kiddy stuff like Pokemon and Naruto... THough I didn't mind Lucky Star... I watch stuff liek Hellsing, Elfen Lied and Ergo Proxy... Death Note is by far the best anime I have seen, the drawing style, the voice acting, the music was amazingly fitting, character plot was a little sketchy but the phylisophical (I spelled it worng... I know.) storyline and morality theme really drew me in, that and Light was like a smarter and slightly less morbid and more warped me.

Disney is not gonna change any of marvels characters or make their shows cudly wudly.

They want a piece of the marvel cake, help produce a few shows and maybe create a few spin-offs featuring characters from both universes..... like marvel themselves have been doing for years

I remember that film. It brought me to tears at the scene
the little girl was put in the coffin and cremated.

On the topic of anime... I remember this one movie they used to play on Cartoon Network, I barely remembered it but I loved it... It was about these mutantish birdish headed men that came from an island and were attackign the world via submarines and battleships and were wreakign havoc... Great film but I was 8 when I say it so I forget the name.

eh the merge probably won't change much. marvel can function independently so it just means they are protected from the recession and hand over a portion to disney every month for rent. only changes being maybe a cooperative movie between marvel and disney every few years.
what could go wrong?

on the topic of anime, anyone who thinks it's all crap has never seen the following:
Hayao Miyazaki Films (namely princess mononoke, spirited away, and castle in the sky)

FLCL
Cowboy Bebop
Trigun
Samurai Champloo
the list goes on....
