Fable 3: News at X10 is going to make fans 'Super ****ed off'.

Speaking to Gamereactor, Lionhead maestro Peter Molyneux revealed that there will be some big Fable 3 news at the X10 event this week. "There's some very, very big things happening in Fable," said Molyneux, "Bigger than you think, and it's going to really upset people." Molyneux added that he is "really scared" about telling people the news, saying, "They're going to get super ****ed off, they really are." Still, he concluded that it's "the right thing to do," and confirmed that he will be demonstrating the mystery announcement at X10 in San Francisco. Joystiq's theory: The entire story of Fable 2 was a dream sequence. Whatever it is, we'll be delivering the news directly from X10, so Joystiq's staff and readers can all get ****ed off together.

In the meantime, be sure to watch the whole interview, which also contains some really interesting talk about Project Natal.

What wiill it be?

No good/evil meter?

unless it is going to be a real time strategy game, or project natal will be required to run fable 3...i can't imagine what he could say that would be so upsetting.

Re: Fable 3: News at X10 is going to make fans 'Super ****ed off'.

At first I thought Fable 2 changed too much, it looked ****. But then I realised it was an awesome game in it's own right, and therefore I have complete faith in Lionhead for delivering us another awesome game.

maby it will be on the ps3? or all NATAL?
or hes just pulling our chain :/

Re: Fable 3: News at X10 is going to make fans 'Super ****ed off'.

maybe he is decided to change the cartoony ways of fable and turn serious like dragon age or fallout or something with explicit 18+ sex scenes LOL

As long as it's Fable, I'm happy. Though I would like to see a Black & White comeback...

God dammit PM you hobo. If you make it like Civilisation or something I swear to God, I'll kill you.

Perhaps news of a Fable 3 MMO? The MMO rumours have been circulating for a while now...

He'll probably turn it into a Point & Click dating sim.

What exactly would that mean if Project Natal was required to play it?

Re: Fable 3: News at X10 is going to make fans 'Super ****ed off'.

It means Project Natal would be compulsory for Fable 3, and it wouldn't work with a standard controller.

Re: Fable 3: News at X10 is going to make fans 'Super ****ed off'.

Which would further mean I would lose my love of video games. I don't want to get up when I play a video game, when I want to get up I will go to the gym or to work or something, if I want to relax I will stick a controller in my hand :( :( :( :(

You have to do everything. You'll have to get off the couch and actually walk in-place to move the character, speak every line that must be spoken for the character, and require to be physically fit to perform all the acrobatic fighting moves in battle. On the plus side, you'll get to have interactive sex with your partner... and dog.

Re: Fable 3: News at X10 is going to make fans 'Super ****ed off'.

It has been confirmed by the Lionhead Devs that it will most definitely WILL NOT require Natal and that the use of Natal will only be implemented certain areas. Sounds like Natal will be used for jobs (woodcutting, blacksmith, tending bar etc...) but that's it.

Oh yes, because what could be more entertaining than work simulation after coming home from work. Sometimes I wonder if there is a certain disconnect from game devs and game players. But oh well.

I have the upsetting news that he will be revealing. He says that the game won't have everything that he's promised, but instead he's glued together concepts from the first two games to make the game entirely unique in the most not-unique but rather generic fashion possible. At least he's being honest these days.

Err the jobs were already in Fable II and they were pretty fun.

Re: Fable 3: News at X10 is going to make fans 'Super ****ed off'.

I didn't like the jobs. I missed the quest for gold and not "hit a at the required time" for gold.

Aye, but not with Natal. I imagine it will be something like swinging around a Wiimote at various degrees at various times to achieve various results, only without the Wiimote which, in my head, looks even more ridiculous. And I acknowledged that Fable III will have stuff from previous games

Could be entirely optional.. perform jobs with natal or without. Would be the most logical decision than restricting a part of the game for some (likely expensive) gimmick device.

Then again, this is Peter.. I wouldn't be surprised.
