Re: Fable III improvements

i love fable it is my favorite RPG. i think if WOW and Fable were to take their best features and put them together it would be the perfect rpg. For instance, WOW emot system would be awesome for Fable to use for expressions. Of course i haven't been obliged to play F2 extensively so i'm sure expressions got better but i'm sure some of the RPG hounds could help come up with those kinds of comparisons.

Re: Fable III improvements

i think in fable 3 it shud be harder, like ENFO sed, once i got some legendary weapons in my inventory, fighting became reli easy, i also think the main story shud be longer than the fable 2 story and more to do once you have finished the story

Re: Fable III improvements

The one thing I want is for the three hero traits to be improved.

The game is about making a character you want but if you want to be a purely physical type then you end up looking like the hulks green challenged brother. it's okay if you want to be conan the barbarian swinging a hammer but not if you want to make a swift swordsman. So maybe instead of muscular strength you could have Inner strength.

Skill is ok but you still end up like medieval waluigi.

And why can't I tell all the stupid women (Cause I usually play a male character) that I DON'T WANT TO MARRY THEM.I get married, and they KNOW i'm married, and they still give me this "Oh doesn't my finger look sad without a ring on it?"
The whole "Lolz we gun killz u dog, hur hur" was what some people call a "Dick move".The dog is so usefull, what with the treasure and growling with enemies around, and if you don't choose to be the savior everyone just suddenly hates you?Come on Peter. You can do better than that.

Another thing, Where the bloody hell is my final boss fight Peter!?One of the most satisfactory things in a game is building up my character so that he's nigh indestructible, and defeating the final boss in a boss fight that takes maybe 10-15 minutes. But all I had to do was shoot an old man!?
They say "Oh yer ackshuns gun change da wurld" well it does alter it a bit, but when I amassed my giant pile of gold, and had every building in the game...WHAT DO I SPEND IT ON?
Why can't I hire people to clean up wraithmarsh?
Or re-build the heroes guild?
I can see why some didn't like it, I like the game, but it could have been better.

I have the same problem, I have almost twenty million Gold I will probably never need.

Re: Fable III improvements

I want the religion to be more realistic. Albion is based on britain, so why not have something like the protestant-Catholic issue. Have a temple send you to get rid of some heretics, but they turn out to be protesters who just want to have the temple be more relaxed with their views. Then you get to choose whether to help the protesters or help the church and kill the protesters. I don't like the ,"OH noez evil shadows. kill them and the temple will be grateful". have different views, start a war between temples, not just destroying a cult thats evil.

Re: Fable III improvements

More of a freeroam sense to it, similar to that of Fallout 3. The constant loading screens and lack of locations is annoying after a while.

Oh, and more Demon Doors.

Re: Fable III improvements

i Have high hopes for this game. i HOPE that it doesnt turn into a big political campaign.

they should make more detailed maps for each area though would this detract from the ability to discoverthe area for yourself?

Also better spell system is needed and possible anew inventory system to improve upon the clubsy one of F2.

Re: Fable III improvements

fear not! ive heard from pet himself that in fable 3 your character will have to build up to relations... so u start by holding hands, then hugging etc etc... i also would like a system that makes changing spells easier... and what would be greatly appreciated is a harder combat system and some godforsaken boss fights... all we got were 3 trolls, the commandant and the giant shard... that's just not enough... i wanna slice open bandits, not butter

and i would love some time traveling action to the past, during the old kingdom, and batteling a platinum troll

Re: Fable III improvements

In Fable III, I want:

An improved family/dog system. In Fable II your family doesn't feel "real." Sure, you buy them presents and screw your spouse once in a while, but is that a family? It sounds more like a brothel than a family system. I want to be able to take my son/daughter on quests, explore a real open world, like from Oblivion, I want to be able to actually feel depth and emotion for my family. I want the dog to be an important friend, who doesn't JUST dig up random crap, the dog needs to literally save your life again and again, there needs to be quests to save your dog from evil or using the dog and child to distract an enemy while you sneak up behind and slit their throat.

Improved rewards. Man, when I go through the trouble of becoming Emperor of Albion, I want to feel the power! I want some kind of in-game ceremony, where I am crowned or something, where the streets are either filled with happy faces and loads of confetti or starving children and sobbing parents (yes, morality), I want to be able to make a few great choices. Like for example, maybe I don't like Bowerstone? Blow it up. Or perhaps I want Oakvale rebuilt? We need something in the game that says you can make REAL choices that REALLY affect the world. When you left for ten years in the spire, I wanted to see Bowerstone cheering my arival back, knowing that peace and order would be restored, my wife and child running to me after I walk through a field of flowers (lol I dunno); or I want to see the sky get dark and everyone aprehensive and quiet as thew worlds greatest evil enters the town. Really now, doesn't that seem a bit more rewarding than some kid who HAPPENS to be nine by the time you return and a much more plump wife.

Improved outfitting/weaponry. Now I don't need a Runway fashion show, but it would be nice to see a bit more variety in the clothing, and better bonuses. I understand what they wanted in Fable II, they wanted no armor so that there wouldn't automatically be a "best" that everyone went for, but we need coolness. How about a pirate outift? Or something reminiscent of Jack of Blades' robes. I also want a bayonet on the end of my rifle, maybe a grenade launcher lol.

Uh, gtg, more in a bit

Re: Fable III improvements

Quick change of spells
Easier way to color clothes (awesome being able to color clothes btw)
Perhaps being able to climb?
A Greatsword

Cut, Print, Kill the Guild Master

Re: Fable III improvements

fable 3 should have a higher difficulty curve. i hope that with a change in genre, they bring in a new system for combat that makes your character specialize and have his own perks. also making it so that it pays more to make your character specialize in one of the different combat styles rather than all three.

finally i am hoping they add unique and cool gear for each. (i.e. assassins have higher running speed, possibly slow time, and clothes that bring less attention.)

i completely agree. although i believe the character morphing was very good, it was still flawed, especially in that aspect. i saw many highwayman that could hit me relatively hard with their sword, yet they werent massive fatasses, yet when i try that, i still turn out like a massive fat-ass. WTF!?!? it just aannoyed me that i wanted to be an aragorn-esque character instead of a ridiculously overpowered douchebag.

Re: Fable III improvements

Bar fighting.

Use the "Touch" Feature to smash a chair over anybody who runs around like an idiot. Or maybe just throw them through a window.

And remove the "I AM THE PERFECT HERO. I MASTER EVERYTHING. GUNS CAN'T KILL ME BUT COULD KILL OTHER HEROES. I CAN ALSO GROW HORNS STEALING PEOPLES BOOKS. NOBODY ELSE CAN." Seriously why is it that your PC is the only person to master all three abilities, And he can grow horns yet nobody seems to think it is unique.
I don't mind having horns and a halo just make it part of the story and if you are the most evil and corrupted person in Albion then why can't you resemble the character on the bloody game case. He kicks ass.

Also, Crab people.

Re: Fable III improvements

I think you should be able to set your dog in different modes one in attack mode so that he can make beetles and hobbes back up. Follow mode where your dog would just follow you. It would be cool if when you get a family you can do quests with them. Also all the quests would be in groups like daughter, wife, son, and the whole family. It would be nice if someone would give you a photo album so when ever you do something like in fable a picture would show up. It would be nice if you could get your dog to run up to bandits then they would say awww or something and you can sneak up behind them and attack them. You should be able to get a special item each time you choose a different title like if you get king or queen you can get a crown or something. If you choose dog lover you can get a special item for your dog or emote

Re: Fable III improvements

On fable 3 when you flex your muscles it and your evil it should show all of this dark energy coming out of your arm. If your good when you whistle you sound really good but if you are evil it is a horrible tune. It would be cool if you could get a lute and then get more friends like two or three then you could all show up at bowerstone and then a guard will ask you what your band is called and you could all plate lutes at the same time.

Re: Fable III improvements

^ those are good ideas, i like the idea of better interaction between your morality, as for the whistling, if you were purer, the sound would be softer, whereas corruption would cause a harsher sound.

Re: Fable III improvements

5 things that i want the most in it
1. a Bigger, more free roam enviroment, like oblivion.
2. More Variety of Weapons, not just the same weapon with slightly higher stats
3. An actual boss fight
4. The heroes back, i wanna actually have a challenge in a fight here and there
5. More spells(the whole upgrade thing wasn't bad, but i'd rather if there was more spells, with just lower amounts of upgrades, like 3)

Re: Fable III improvements

More and harder monsters - stronger than trolls >.>
Bigger map.
Old Fable Spells from TLC
Able to kill children.
People DONT come in your bloody house.
Less buggy please?
Armor - not just clothing.
Bows and crossbows.
Temples [E.g Fire, Death, Water, Earth] each one with a special spell for the Temple you are trained under.

Ability to interact with building walls [E.g Change the wallpaper, so its not as tatty]

Monsters like Banshee's [But witches]
Ability to levitate for a short period of time [spell]

Re: Fable III improvements

Biggest thing I think that needs to be added, is the ability to set your own items to the d-pad. I hated when I had different XP potions and had to pause - item - potion - scroll down - select for every one. And the same with eating the celery to lose weight, took forever.

Or an option to have a circular menu come up like in Mass Effect, where it pauses the game while you select what you want.

Re: Fable III improvements

^ definately. a fable 1 type one of those, or even an oblivion-esque one would do better than searching through menus.
