Re: For the ladies...Because we played this too
John = win.
That's like what I wanted to say, but I'm too sick to try and elaborate on stuff.
Basically, all I'm trying to get across is the fact that more time should be put into the NPCs, especially the male ones. I can appreciate a good-looking tree or rock, but when all the effort is put solely onto that, and then the people are done last minute, well it ruins the effect almost. The obviously put more time into the women and their details like their clothes, faces, hair and especially BOOBS. The men all look like caricature...They all have weird heads and faces and there is just no where near the same detail put into their clothes or whatever. They look like NPCs out of an older PS2 cartoon-style game. At least they TRIED to make the women somewhat realistic, minus the boobs. Because, serious, who the hell can have tits that stick a full half a metre off their chests, and yet they defy gravity? Not possible, if it was irl their breasts would sag down to their knees. I'm just saying...Anyway, all my point is that women play Fable too, otherwise they wouldn't have gone, "It would be a good idea to make female heroes", but then they present us nothing in the game. Yes, usually games are developed by men, and yes, they try to make female characters as attractive and large-breasted as they can, and will often go to a lot of trouble to make their breasts bounce (refer to Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volley Ball...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM6lxmFGvB8 = ****ing ridiculous lol), but, if they aknowledge a female demographic, then for god sake DO something with it. Women, like men, want sex and all that crap, so if you're designing female NPCs to have some sort of appeal to men....then obviously it shouldn't been too much to ask they try to do the SAME with the male NPCs, rather then just making them look deformed.
