Tyloric UT3 is what I wanted most but I didn't get it because nobody plays it online. I always love UT...

But good lord man, 'm in LOVE with CoD4! I only finished 3 missions last night and then went to bed and had war dreams...do you realize that I RARELY remember dreams? But I had devastating dreams last night...lots of gunfire and blood LOL

I guess that since it's been so long, I didn't really realize how far shooters have come. See I had lost interest in first person games and just recently had a craving for one. Man, everything I disliked about them before seems to be gone now...and the graphics...OMG they're INSANE for this type of game! I don';t even have HD but I'm amazed.

Skot, I realized you deserve rep for turning me on to this awesome game. +rep, my buddy!

Yeah shooters have came a long way since the old days and remain my favourite genre and i love them. COD 4 has been amongst the best of them in the last few years and the online is addictive, really damn addictive in HD some games today will blow you away. :lol:

I did see CoD4 on HD one time a few months back, and I remember my jaw dropping at how amazing it looked. I'm anxious to try the online play...I'm afraid it may kill my semester finals LOL

Yeah as soon as you get used to it, learn the maps and the play style of particular maps (where people are going to run to, where they are going to throw grenades from at start and where they put claymores etc) it can be great fun.

Like in Search and Destroy on Strike (I think), when you are defending, I take a sniper run forward, and that metal staircase on the left you see is where I go to the top back a little down, jump and the railing, and you can see all the people run across. Then you have to have good reflexes, and BAM!

Lately I have been going for only headshots, and my sniper class has juggernaut... Hey! Headshots are one hit kills anyway, so why not? They get ****ed, and I get away alive. And don't count on shooting through the walls too much. Wastes you ammo because you usually miss and if you do hit, it significantly reduces the damage.

I keep taking breaks from the campaign to get on the forums and play a little guitar, because it's so intense. SO intense. So amazing.

Have you got to the All Ghillied Up mission yet? That was my favourite one. And the one after it. Oh so fun! And scary. Having to carry him through... That was the hardest mission on Veteran difficulty. Luckily I found a spot where they knew I was, but couldn't reach me. Awesome.

I'm not sure actually, but I just finished the mission where you're shooting from the helicopter... and I'm in the middle of escorting the tank right now. I'm not sure what the title was, but my favorite so far is the one where practically everything's on fire, and you shoot down a chopter with I think it was a stinger? That was cool..

Personally, I'm toying with the idea of getting Left 4 Dead, though I'm not a huge horror fan.

I don't like the horror stuff either, but a lot of people on this thread like that game so give it a shot, let me know how it is if you do.

RE 5 looks bad ass though I must say...

edit - you guys know how I said I was excited to see how much I suck?
I suck more at this game than a newborn babe on his mamas nipple.

I love that mission so much... And don't worry, I used to suck major nuts. The first little bit I played online, I was going like 2 kills and 20 deaths. Now I'm usually going 20 kills and maybe 10 or so deaths. usually like it to be lower, but people catch on to my strategies. :lol: It has been 9 days since I sent my Xbox in, so I should be getting it back withing the next week. Hopefully.

I just beat the campaign on the easiest setting...such an incredible campaign...unlike anything I've ever played honestly. Tomorrow I'll try multiplayer...

You probably will, I have probably lost all skill within the last week or so... Poor Xbox...
