I want my baby back!

What do you get when your nice and let your cousin use your computer to update her Myspace? Spyware! Yay! :getlost:

I got the spyware "personal antivirus", a fake antivirus that constantly pops up telling me I have all sorts of terrible viruses that I was blissfully unaware of. And no amout of GTFO would stop it from installing itself on my computer, and nothing I can do can get rid of it. So I finally buckled down and took my computer in to get it fixed. It supposedly should only take "about 2 hours" to fix, but they have to keep it for "about 2 days" anyway. *crys*

So I comondeired my brothers craptastic beast to let anyone who might be secretly stalking me know that I wont be on for a few days. Sorry if that causes your entire world to crash all around you. And if it doenst, it should.

All you need to do is a System Restore most likely. I have gotten what I believe to be the same type, if not the exact same crap, and System Restore is all it takes. Go get it back from them and try that, then return it if it doesn't fix the problem. Of course, if you know you had System Restore turned off, then nevermind.

Go get it back from them and try that, then return it if it doesn't fix the problem. Of course, if you know you had System Restore turned off, then nevermind.

System Restore (besides bashing your computer in with a sledgehammer and ending up with this) is the best thing ever.

Restart it in Safe-Mode...
Then run an anti-virus software...

Worked for me when this type of thing happened to me

I once let my brother use my computer for a week while I was on vacation. When I got back, my PC was the host of 61 different trojans.

This is why my sister is banned from my laptop. She seems to think everything that can be downloaded must be a good thing or the internet wouldn't provide it

Steve nearly had kittens when he saw the crap on my machine after the last time she got her mitts on it...took ages to reformat and I had to get rid of so much corrupted stuff...

Well, Im back now! Thanks for the pointers, but I dont think they would have helped me. To my knowledge I didnt have system restore on, or even know what it is. >.< damn my noobishness.... The stuff I had was pretty nasty and far beyond my capabuilities anyway. Anyway, my computers all fixed up now, with a new ass-kicking protection system to boot. Yes, I wasnt using protection. Feel free to spank me if you have to for that.

So all you stalkers out there better get back on the ball, I dont hear any creeping! Its lonely without stalkers, ya know?

Man those were a boring few days. I dont mind being without a computer when Im not home, but being stuck at home with nothing to do.... thats painful. I didnt have any place to project all my wonderful goofy thoughts either, my poor brother had to suffer through it all. Needless to say, my cousin isnt comeing within 30 feet of this laptop again. She might be moving in with us for a while (oh joy...) and I dont trust her so Im putting a password on it.

Anyway, its good to be back!
