Mass Effect 2: OMFG!!!!!

Re: Mass Effect 2: OMFG!!!!!

Amazing game, I don't know if I'm playing it right though lol, I had the same guns throughout the hole game, and never found/bought any others... Where can you get better armor and weapons?

Re: Mass Effect 2: OMFG!!!!!

I also miss the Mako. :( I miss roaming the planets.

Oh well. The story makes up for it in every way.

I hated the MAKO.

As for weapons, they're scattered around. You find them on missions laying on the ground.

And the snazzy thing is that it automatically upgrades the ones you and all your squadmates are carrying. You can buy new armor and stuff, though, and that you have to customize in the armor locker in the Captain's quarters.

You can also change your weapons in the room where Jacob is.

I actually preferred the Mako. It was boring, but at least I wasn't staring at the same screen for twenty minutes, holding down the left trigger and moving the stick until it vibrated.

Re: Mass Effect 2: OMFG!!!!!

Looks good and glad you like it but I don't think you should really be upset about your character not being able to be gay, game isn't about having sex with other guys.

Re: Mass Effect 2: OMFG!!!!!

Allow me to head this off-- no! Bad argument! Down! No more!

Please. My extremely raucous and violent and rancourous argument-sensor is going off. Just don't start it.

Re: Mass Effect 2: OMFG!!!!!

I used the Pre-order Terminus armor. It rocks many socks.

Re: Mass Effect 2: OMFG!!!!!

I actually haven't used it... solely because it's ugly. I have the little headshot damage visor, a capacitator breastplate, off-hand ammo supply, and the default stuff.

And I'm only at 20 hours, if I'm lucky, so if there's any chance talking about armor could have spoilers, please be careful. Getting the Krogan, Okeer at the moment, last of the initial party members.

Re: Mass Effect 2: OMFG!!!!!

Mako might be included in upcoming dlc.

Yeah it was interesting for all of about 7 seconds and now im bored of that.

I actually quite like it. However, I do sort of miss aimlessly driving around an empty alien planet.

Re: Mass Effect 2: OMFG!!!!!

Jesus Christ, man, how can you LIKE that? I'm sorry, but that is the most boring, monotonous, repetitive, drudgework task I have ever had the misfortune of performing in a game, or possibly in reality. I mean, ****, I would sooner be doing calculus.

I mean, okay, the F2 minigame jobs were pretty bad. Well, so were the F1 minigames. But at least those required somewhat more skill and attention. To scan a planet you literally hold down a button and move the d-pad, waiting from a buzz. I mean, HELL, you could train a monkey to do it! You have that nifty AI sitting there watching you the whole time ("Probe Launched," "Probe Away," "Really, Shepard?" "Now Probing Uranus,") why the hell couldn't she handle it, and leave me more time for fun stuff?

I'm sorry to rant like this, but I don't have that much time to play, with school and all (which begs the question of why I'm wasting time on the internet, I don't know) the only way I can upgrade anything is by surveying, so if I want upgrades I have to sit there and waste game time with, well, boring ****.

It's worse than load screens.

EDIT: And incidentally, Gikoku, lest you think yourself completely forgotten: long time no see! Welcome back. (If you never left, and I just haven't been posting in the same places as you, sorry.)

I just noticed this post.

You, good sir, miss the point. Mass Effect is all about choice. Female Shepard has the option of being gay. Male Shepard does not. A choice that I want (and one that should be available) is not. I am a gay male. As Mass Effect is an RPG centered around CHOICE, I would like to be able to CHOOSE to be gay.

So yes, I am upset. I have right to be.

I don't want to argue this point because I think this is a dangerous argument, but I will ask this-- CAN female Shepherd be gay? I haven't played female, or checked online, but in ME1 she could only be with Liara. Who, it could be argued, is neither male nor female, but only looks like an attractive blue-skinned human woman with a tentacled monster eating the back of her head. And hence, being with her does not, technically, make female Shepherds who got it on with her gay.

Female Shepard can hook up with Kelly (the message secretary person/slut)

:P

So yes, she can.

Re: Mass Effect 2: OMFG!!!!!

Really? As far as I can tell, male Shepherd can't, though she sounds like a lovesick puppy half the time. One that's as annoying as ****. And here, I thought she loved everyone.

I stand corrected.

Of cooourse it isn't, it's about female Sheppard throwing Kelly on her table and having her way with her, everyone knows that.

Well don't feel too bad, you can be a gay male in Bioware's Dragon Age (caught me by surprise) and it's actually done quite well.

Well I admit it drags after a good while, but I don't sit there probing titanic balls for hours. I do a few missions, probe for about 10 minutes or so then do something else in the game, and since it's entirely optional.. :P there's no big deal, right?

Thank you, and no I have been away (I don't know how long though, but long enough since I noticed the influx of new faces and many old faces missing).

Optional? What's optional about it? There's no way you can pick up enough resources just wandering around to get all the upgrades that are available/I want. So, yes, it's optional if I don't want any upgrades or want to get them really slowly.

And no, I don't sit there for hours, either. But I have a tendency to get OCD, and try to deplete the resources. And even if I don't, it still takes a fair amount of time to fire off thirty or so probes.

Glad to hear I was right. We've actually had a lot of old faces back, or semi-back recently.
