Are you coming on to me? :shifty:

Does offering to blow you count as 'coming on'?

I believe it does Tyloric haha.

Just like that? For nothing in return?

Re: Microsoft: You're allowed to say you're gay on Live now!

There has to be something in the fine print ;)

Re: Microsoft: You're allowed to say you're gay on Live now!

This kind of reminds me of the whole gays in the military deal, not being allowed to openly show their sexuality, cause well let's admit it, things wouldn't go too well if you're in a foxhole, close to another guy in the middle of a war and he says "I'm gay..." I wouldn't feel comfortable at all. A grenade might accidentally go off, brave man, I force- I mean he willingly rolled over onto my -- I mean enemy grenade.

Re: Microsoft: You're allowed to say you're gay on Live now!

Well, the thing is, I don't hate all gays, I just hate what they do. HOWEVER, I do have a problem with the ones that overly show it, I mean, they're just basically going around yelling "I'm gay! I'm GAY!", if you're going to be gay, at least act humane. But I'd keep one eye open while sleeping if I was next to a gay guy in war, in a foxhole or bunk bed etc.

Then it's a good thing Xbox Live doesn't have any bunk beds.

Re: Microsoft: You're allowed to say you're gay on Live now!

;( They do have virtual foxholes.

Says the guy with a glittery avatar.

I know what you mean, and that bothers me a bit too. In the same way a straight guy running around telling everyone that he's straight would bother me. Goes back to my original point - no one cares.

Oh there's definitely people out there who care.

These would be the same people, or at least in the same league of people, who would care about your ethnicity or religion. They're in the minority.

That doesn't mean they're impossible to bump into, somewhere some unlucky guy/girl is going to bump into one of those people who don't want gays playing on Xbox Live.

Re: Microsoft: You're allowed to say you're gay on Live now!

I don't...get it. Why is this so incredibly important? I'm not trying to be difficult here but could someone from the gay/bi/transgendered/whatever else there is which I've forgotten to add community tell me the answer?

XBOX Live is already full of people with a strong aversion to anyone or anything that isn't straight. Won't this cause more harm than good? And why is it so very necessary for people to shout about their sexuality - surely if you are comfortable with who you are you shouldn't feel the need to let everyone else know about it?

Re: Microsoft: You're allowed to say you're gay on Live now!

The pride parade type of "gay"s do bother me immensely, I agree on that.

But I don't really see the connection here, it is not like you're gonna get a special image or something on your gamertag....

Re: Microsoft: You're allowed to say you're gay on Live now!

I just don't see why they have put energy into this when they could do something much more useful like, ooh I dunno, creating the ability to cancel a subscription without having to call Support? Just a thought...

That's just the way they are. They're naturally more feminine and flamboyant.

Why? You think that just because he's gay he's going to want to slip his hand down your pants? You need to seriously think about this. Would you even think about the possibility of a woman doing this to you if she were sleeping next to you, even if it wouldn't bother you? Would you even consider doing this to someone that you were sexually attracted to while sleeping next to them? The answer to both of these questions is a resounding NO. So why would you be scared of a gay man doing it to you?

Re: Microsoft: You're allowed to say you're gay on Live now!

Alot of people are sensetive about that stuff Necro, I take no offense to how he is saying he would act, if I were a girl sleeping in a foxhole with a straight guy I would feel the same way. And I do dislike the pride parade, no one cares that I am bi, no one cares you are gay, just live life.

Necro's gay?

Meaning he doesn't hate gay people, but doesn't like the image of a man's penis in another man's butt.

Yeah, it's as silly as when they say "I don't mind if you're gay, as long as you don't act gay."

That's just the way they are. They're naturally more feminine and flamboyant.

Not all of them, I have a gay friend who acts just like a regular straight guy.. you'd never know he was gay until he or someone told you.

Trust me, they wouldn't touch you. The chances of them touching you would be equal to the chances of a straight woman touching you. Gay men aren't desperate for sex with any other male, it's so silly when people freak out and think that a gay guy is going to make a pass at them.. as if gays find them irresistible.

Re: Microsoft: You're allowed to say you're gay on Live now!

If I had to sleep in a foxhole I would definitely sleep with one eye open.

But not in fear of my brother-in-arms bumming me, that's for sure.

Terribly ignorant. Just because they have sexual feelings towards people of the same sex doesn't mean they suddenly fit into a flamboyant mould. There are plenty of gay guys out there who aren't feminine at all, and there are also plenty of flamboyant/ feminine straight men as well.

Well, of course, a straight man wouldn't like to have that image in his head, but people just have to understand that that's what gay men do when it comes to sex. Nobody's being asked to partake in it or like it, just understand that that's what they like and know that it's not wrong.

I'm completely aware of all that. I was not talking about all gay people. Sean said

So those are the ones I was talking about.

Under normal circumstances (I'm sharing a bed with a woman that I'm sexually attracted to), the answer would be a resounding **** YES.

Well, sure, under normal circumstances. But we're discussing sleeping arrangements within the military. No one in their right mind would try anything sexual on the person sleeping next to them in the military. The consequences would be insanely severe.
