Weight training is a great class, you'll love it. I took it second semester and it was totally awesome. Working out, ftw!

Yeah. I kinda hate working out, but I do PT with my school's ROTC. I hate getting up in the morning. I hate actually doing it. But 20 minutes after I finish I start going "that was fun."

Never thought id be happy to see the 'Back to School' sale signs. Be nice to have a quiet house in the daytime.

Huh? Drakan lives in a house filled with small children? How terrifying.

But yeah, my school starts up again Monday. I've got... PT, Calc2, Physics1, creative writing, some basic English class with "analysis" in the name, and "Intensive Elementary Spanish." Oh, and Intro to Aerospace Engineering. Which I have no idea what I'll actually be doing in.

EDIT: Also, people, I intend to focus on actually passing math and physics, so my activity might drop off after Monday. We'll see how that works.

You're in ROTC? Awesome. I was AFJROTC for three and a half years, must say it was a lot of fun.

As for the working out thing, I dread the first pushup. Once I get to about thirty, I start doing them with a smile.Sweet stuff.

I loved that class. Mostly because the teacher was very attractive, but also because frictionless ramps are fun.

No, I just work out with them-- the Army, not the AF, since Maryland has both. I want to join the Coast Guard when I graduate, so I'm not trying to go Army ROTC. I probably could if I tried, but [shrugs].

Yeah. I don't start smiling, but hey, after doing PT all last semester I can actually manage to reach 40. Or I could, before I slacked off all summer. I'm a skeleton, though, so anything I can manage is good.

Yay for hot teahers, not that there are many at UMD. (A few hot TAs, at least.) Yes, I am a lowbrow, hormone-addled, drooling teenager. I admit it.

And yeah. I did Physics in high school and it was interesting, but I didn't do all that well. Hopefully I'll do better gradewise if I apply some effort. Especially since I'm a wannabe engineer.

That's, frankly, kinda awesome.

And speaking of awesome, I was reading about the US Coast Guard, which read to the Lighthouse Service, which lead to lighthouses, which lead to OLD lighthouses, which led to the really cool old lighthouse in Estonia whose name I forget but was nevertheless very cool and [end rant, now].

Started a month ago? That kinda sucks. And are you a Dane, or are you just taking Danish for the hell of it or what?

All Internet roads lead to Estonia
Speaking of my studies - since I`m in a "high-end" art school, I`m not just going to be a simple horseshoe-making dude.

Re: So, School has started!

1 - PE
2 - French
3 - Computer literature/application
4 - English
5 - Choir Advanced
6 - Algebra II
My favorite class is English. I tend to write some really horror-themed stories, as my friends and teachers would put it.

Yeah, my theory is that it's a vast conspiracy centered on the fact that you have the coolest tricolor ever for a flag. Seriously-- it's the only one that I can remember which is which. No one else has black, blue, and white.

Aww, but horseshoes are so cool and lucky and all. And so... so... horseshoe-shaped. And you can play that game with them.

But yeah, I kinda figured from the fancy-schmancy "academy" word. I take it that it's a college/university? You're roughly, my age, correct? 19?

Yeah, I like English, too. I'm trying a double engineering/english major. I'll see how it works.

But yeah, I had an awesome creative writing workshop class last semester. We managed to interpret every story or poem as involving murder, rape, sex, death, or drugs. Well, I say "interpret" but a lot of them actually HAD murder, rape, sex, death, or drugs right there right out in the open. This WAS a bunch of nerdy and/or drunken college kids, after all. Sounds like you'd've fit right in.

We need the world to know about our awesome flag. That and I was referring to Estonia being one of the most "Internetted" country in the world. (actually Botswana has the same colors, but it`s not as nearly as cool).
Don`t worry, Walker, I`m sure I can make horseshoes too if I`m finished there. I`m 19 and it is an University.
And here comes the best part - you can actually make a doctorate (you call it Ph.D. ? - the highest level of study) in Blacksmithing.

And then you can set up shop, making the fine arms and armour for the adventures passing by your town!

Yes, it is my dream.
Too bad the school focuses more on abstract art, but I believe in the end it doesn`t matter, because I get the education anyways. I myself try to lean more towards engraving and making more practical items and eventually go fantasy/medieval.
It`s not simple, though, it takes years and a lot of practice to eventually do that.

[GASP] I'm sorry Botswana. I didn't remember you. In my defense, Botswana doesn't have a tricolor. I'm actually not sure what that'd be called. A black bar with white fimbriation on a blue field?

Sounds very cool. And I think we have a doctorate and a Ph.D... there might be a difference, I'm not sure. I think a Ph.D is a specific kind of doctorate.

Eh. Not too bad. I prefer the way my schools and college do it... I think.

What's so bad about Danish?

On the playground was where I spent most of my days...

Sorry, I just rarely ever see anyone use the words: Born and Raised.

Re: So, School has started!

Well, I got adobe flash cs4, very awesome program.

It's really good for programing things and developing, and since I am going to school which

kinda does that, I am going to ''teach'' myself at home as well.

We got list of books to buy and I have far less then last year and this is high school :s
