Truthism...

Re: Truthism...

^I meant the Reptile thing Sean, and your Bible isn't proof. Evolution is likely, even Christian scientists say so... Thirdly: Skotekal I am suprised at your hypocracy.

Re: Truthism...

Evolution isn't likely. Even Darwin said that Evolution isn't possible on his death bed, sorry kiddo, but the guy who created the theory of evolution doesn't even believe in it anymore, that kind of says something, doesn't it? :D

I'm pretty sure regular scientists even said that the chance of evolution being likely is the same chance that a tornado will go through a junk yard and create a full working Boeing Passenger Airplane.

Re: Truthism...

I can answer the second. Hopefully.

Because evolution is slower than our aging. We can't see it happen in our lifetime. And I think this has been pointed out before, but isn't it kind of arrogant to think that we were created above all else to be smarter and more advanced?

And I really think we should continue this discussion in a new thread. Unless the mods don't approve because this has been gone over a bajillion times. I can't say anything for maybe an hour or so because my bio class is about to end in 5 minutes or so, also.

Re: Truthism...

I never said Evolution happened, I believe in it just as much as Creationism (None at all) in my mind, we were made by somethign whether it can think or not (God or nature/randomness) we are jsut another animal, a smarter animal yes, but an animal...

I will say this though, if there is a higher order of things, a God, and He is responsible for turning a planet plagued with ash and acid rain into a lush and green water-filled planet, why can't He be behind the idea of evolution as well?

Just saying, he didn't. The Bible says he made a mass of water, then he made land, and then plants and trees and so on, until the seventh day, when he rested.

Re: Truthism...

I listen to Alex Jones regularly.
heh.
On the concept of religion, I believe a being or beings set the human evolution into motion, possibly by genetic engineering(3% of human DNA is completely anonymous and to this day unexplained in the human genome project).

I would seriously rather believe in Truthism than Christianity.
But, then again, one fantasy story isn't so much unlike the next, so I'll stick with my vague "I dunno"-ness.

Re: Truthism...

Religion makes most people blind and closed-minded. It's usually 'Believe what I believe or I'll kick your ass.' :/ This is just from my personal experience. And 99.9% of my community is Christian or Catholic, Mormon, etcetera.

Look at the dumber animals, they don't have our intelligence, but put a ****ed off gorrila and an un-armed human in a locked room, guess who dies?Same goes for putting nearly every other animal in a locked room with an un-armed human. We may be much smarter, but we're not nearly as strong as gorillas, or as fast as lions or cheetahs, and we can't even fly without aid. That's why we need our smarts to build spears and such to defend ourselves.Isn't there a saying, something like, "Mind over mettle" or whatever?

I agree with JD, I think God was playing it by ear, then went "Oh, better fix that or they'll die" and gave us thumbs or summat.

@Flat Earthers: ...Wow...Just...Wow.

Re: Truthism...

Indeed. But one should not confuse our brainy advantage with us being "above" said animals. We're still just another species here, but we are the dominant species. This is because of the way we've evolved - we're the winners in the contest known as evolution.... until Cthulhu awakens.

If Cthulhu is real, then there must be a God who DOESN'T want to tear our nipples off, right?
Whereever there is evil, there are always those ready to fight it.
I'm not sure if you truly believe in him or not, but I do truly believe in God (And here comes the criticism, eh?) but I don't have to argue, because as was previously mentioned, in you truly believe, you don't have to defend your beliefs.
I said I wasn't sure if you believed in him or not cause i'm not sure whether you're joking or not.

If Cthulhu does awaken in my lifetime (If he's real) then i'd be only too happy to give him a mouthfull of lead and cold steel.
If I fail, then at least i'll get to see Grandpa jack up in heaven right?
He can kill me, but I believe my faith will protect my soul.

"My father believed his faith would protect him...I won't make that mistake."
Only yer soul, bud.

Re: Truthism...

Cthulhu isn't evil. He's just monstrously alien. For us to "understand" him would be like an ant trying to grasp what it is to be human. And no, as Cthulhu is real there is no god - just other alien beings who are mistakenly worshipped as "god(s)". That's the whole point of Cosmicism.

...Huh...Still, c'mere and i'll chop him up like a hamster in a blender.^_^

I have a new belief...

Mr.Bean is actually a mass murderer.

Back to seriousness, people have said "Oh there's no god up ther efloating in space so it's not real" and that's ridiculous, cause of course he's not over here, I think there a two "Planes" if you will, of existence, Spirit, where Heaven is, and this one, where...we are.Obviously.

Re: Truthism...

I am serious! There is actual proof that Cthulhu exist.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloop

The Bloop is a sound of unknown origins far down in the sea. Whats interesting is this:

Wikipedia said:
If the sound did come from an animal, it would reportedly have to be several times the size of the largest known animal on Earth, the Blue Whale

But what makes it the sound of Cthulhu? Well, it is extremely close to Ry'leh - the sunken alien city where Cthulhu awaits dreaming.

So you better join up with the Cult of Cthulhu before its too late!

Re: Truthism...

You say 'extremely close' but from the image you posted, the bloop was heard almost 1000 miles from where this sunken alien city supposedly is.

Coincidence maybe?

Re: Truthism...

Um...The sea...We stil ldon't know what the hell could be down there, that doesn't suprise me at all.

For all we know, there could be Giant Mcdonalds Sharks with killer teeth made of 3 mile long french fries or something.
