What Games Better? Fable Tlc? Or Fable 2?

Idk about you guys but i havent got Fable 2 yet.. I love Fable tlc. But... I seen That Fable 2 has guns... WTF! yes 500 years ahead.... But guns???? Idk.. I fell in love with a game that had swords and bows.. magic and monsters... Not guns. Lol. Call me old school, But im just wondering if fable 2 would of been better if it wasnt 500 years ahead? And i just dont know. Guns!!! Idk if i can ever get over it. I wont go to the store and buy it. Lol Well what do you guys think?

i really hated the idea of guns too but look at it this way:

the movie: Pirates of the caribbean had guns and swords and it was an awesome move done really well with some epic sword play and gun play scenes

Fable 2 has guns and swords and its an awesome game, they both kinda take place at the same time (year wise) some times you get in big ass gun fights, OR huge sword fights (and when you learn how to counter things really get cool) also you can always shoot the gun/sword out of an opponents hand

i was a HUGE Fable 1/TLC fan (played through it 7 times) and if you are to you will give it ago

there are still sword, bows (cross bows) magic and monsters, but now there is guns also
its not a FPS or 3rdPS now just cus there is guns

Overall, I like Fable 2 better. It's storyline was in fact too short, but I don't think that takes away from the game enough to put it below TLC.

However, both games are very different, and even now it is a little difficult to see Fable 2 as a sequel to TLC, just because it only has small references to TLC, and the gameplay of the 2 games is so different. Because of that, TLC, while still not quite as good as Fable 2, is still one of my very favorite games.

true Aions, About the movie. I thought it was a good movie.. But i think for fable two i was looking for something a little more then Tlc. Yeah i know theres swords in it and crossbows and everything.. Im sure its a great game. But i just dont think i will ever get it. I just hope if they are making a fable 3.. Which i think i heard it was.. That it goes back to tlc.. Or maby a little bit beyond it.. Like it re does tlc all over.. But like differnt. Lol i hope in making sense. I might go get it Just to see it is any good. Im sure its a swell game and all.. But i just think its not what i was looking for.. I think guns killed it all. I just didnt really want a pirate game.. Lol if you know what i mean, The time period is just the same. But i think you get me. I like the older theme. (tlc) Might as well throw in a rocket that you can fly to the moon!

you make it seem like the guns there useing are like the guns they use in gears of war/ call of duty, powerfull machineguns that take out tanks, but their flint lock, some crossbows are more powerfull then some guns.
its very well balanced and it fits the time period, when your swarmed by 4-5 bandits and they want to use melee you pretty much have to also cus the guns are not 1 hit kills and take time to reaload and fire off
also you can always rent it first

Well 500 years ahead makes sense with the guns thing. I like both of them. You can't compare Fable and Fable 2 coz they are very different.

i prefer TLC cause I dont like the way that character are made on fable 2 and my wife always disapear and break up a few day after. And in Tlc there is the guild of hero not in fable 2 and like much said, the guns suck They should create fable old kingdom time you know. anyway i didnt relly liked fable 2 i only passed it 3 time. And fable tlc about 20 time

Fable TLC was/is way better. My eyes and butt hurt after Fable TLC because I didn't stop playing until I got almost completely finished but it was totally worth it. With Fable 2, I had to have Gossip Girl going on in the background and finished with ease. Very disappointing, to say the least. But I liked the dog.

Fable 2 ........ Just prefere it to TLC ... I actually welcome the idea of guns and think its a great aspect of the game .. Also love the dog ..... Not bad DLCs either ....

Trying to compare the two games is difficult, as the others have said above, they have different gameplays plots ect. And you don't have to have a gun anyway, seeing as Fable II has crossbows also. Honestly Fable 2 was more fun to me, even if it was shorter. I suggest you buy/try it anyway.

Fable TLC was a more quaint game. The setting and story are way better.

Fable 2 was a more commercial game. The gameplay and graphics are way better.

Personally, I had more fun playing Fable TLC.

out of both, id have to say fable lc, just for that reason. the guns were a cool additino, and they certainly helped fable to not 'sell-put' and become just another dungeons and dragons rpg *cough* two worlds *cough*, but i really loved the fairytale, magic, epicness of fable 1. fable 2 is still AWESOME, but not as good as the first.

Fable II was an improvement over TLC, but it lacked some aspects that TLC had. Picking one over the other is difficult.

Fable II had more clothing/apperance options.
TLC had a better story.
Fable II had a better combat system.
TLC had a better magic system.
They both fell short of what they were supposed to be.
I'm not going to cry over bows vs guns. I don't care.

The thing is, all melee weapons are horribly underpowered and force you to use a gun for the sake of being able to kill anything later on in the game.
