1 day left of work after today then im off for a week.

Had to reinstall lots of things on phone again yesterday after it went crazy on me for the third time. Also week off might be spent painting and doing DIY.

Rocked: Gave blood. Very proud of myself.

Sucked: Did so on an empty stomach, only waited five more minutes sitting down with the Red Cross people before going downstairs to get Chick-Fil-A and proceeding to pass out in the middle of the student union. Followed it up by, after I was feeling a bit better and had got some food in my belly, by puking up everything I ate. Went to the health center, found out that what I thought was a little cut on my chin from when I passed out onto a trash can was bad enough to need stitches.

Rocked: I'm sure that I will soon have an incredibly sexy badass scar... right. I believe that.

Sucked: Currently have a huge scab on my chin that freaks me out every time I touch it or it rubs against something.

Thanks. But honestly, I'm a selfish bastard. I only did it for my sister. Almost exactly five years prior to the day I gave blood was the only other time I ever gave blood-- when I was getting typed to see if I could be a bone marrow transplant for my sister.

I never did that, but at least I can pay back somebody else, and the people who donated the transfusions she got during her treatment. And give her some comic relief sitting up there giggling about her dumbass older brother.

Well blood donors have saved my life on more than one occasion so I see it as a very worthwhile cause and it doesn't take much so everyone who can should do it.

Yeah, I do agree wholeheartedly on the first bit. My sister got transfusions while she was being treated for cancer, I'm a little fuzzy on exactly why, but anything that can help **** over cancer is a plus. On the other hand, the big hole in my chin would argue the "doesn't take much" point.

Sucked: I'm STILL not sick. Both my brother, mother AND father have been sick for almost a week, maybe the swine flu that has hit a large amount of Canadians, which are of course overreacting. But, guess what. I only got a sore throat and a bit of a headache and was fine to go to school. Why? WHY?

My Modern Warfare 2 has been dispatched by courier already 6 days early. So should be here pretty soon! :w00t:

My week off and so far ive spent 2 days building things, painting, fixing things and putting carpet down with various trips to clear stuff out. No time to actually relax as ive been up at 7am everyday and not finished doing jobs until 11pm.

Rocked: Don't need to replace bathroom suite thanks to handy plumber man coming out and fixing everything at no cost to me! I've just saved meself about £2000 so I'm pretty pleased

Rocked: Lots of stuff getting done in the house starting tomorrow - plus bought a load of DVD's to keep myself amused for a great price. Nothing like a bit of nostalgia...

Sucked: The abomination that is the zombie dog corpse living in our house. I spent an hour and a half shovelling her crap off the decking in the back yard because she is too bone idle to use the correct area made just for her - only to walk into the house and find she had decided that since I had ruined her favourite crapping place outside (meaning EVERYWHERE outside), she'd take a dump on the living room floor. Three dumps, to be precise. On a floor which cost almost £1000.

Living on borrowed time, that thing is...I will have her head one of these days and use it as a freakin' doorstop....
