Ack, I never did like puns, and it's because of things like this that I continue to dislike them. :lol:

I still say subtlety is the best approach, like buying him a shirt, or taking him shopping for clothes, or something wildly flirtatious and irresistible.
Ripping the shirt off of someone intent on keeping it on can have some negative effects, but you know him better than I do.

Getting a guy to be more confident in the bedroom is no easy task, IMO, even without the clothing hang-ups. Low self esteem is a huge contributor to this thanks to the ridiculous assumption that all men ought to have thirteen inch long penises (sometimes less really is more - trust me), the stamina of a porn star (ever heard of editing?) and the body of a god (no offence, but Vishnu doesn't exactly get me going).

Personally, I would concentrate less on his lack of shirt removal and more on just him and what the two of you want to do together. Sometimes it's far more hot to keep partially clothed - in fact, it can work out that the more you keep hidden from each other, the more you find you want to see stuff so you naturally begin to remove articles of clothing in the heat of the moment which would otherwise remain on.

If he really is that self-conscious about his upper body then for a while you're going to need to respect that - trying to force him to remove an article of clothing when he really doesn't want to will make any intimacy you do finally get around to taking part in awkward and uncomfortable for him especially because rather than focusing on enjoying himself, he'll have his mind partially on how self conscious he feels. By all means talk to him about it if it doesn't make you cringe too much and reassure him but for a while you may just have to put up with him wearing something at least until he gets a bit more comfortable and realises you aren't going to run away laughing the second you see him even half naked.

At least it's not his socks he wants to keep on. Seriously, that's never good...

The whole inch thing is nearly always intentional - but those who already think badly of themselves take it as gospel and don't get the humour. And anyway, it's width not length that counts as far as I'm concerned. No point in having one the length of a snake but the width of a pencil...

Socks...*shudder*...I can handle most choices of clothing to remain on but socks are a big no-no.

It is, isn't it? Probably why there are so many different euphemisms out there for it...Jessica thinks it's a really stupid word - that and testicles. I've noticed with kids that they tend to cringe almost instinctively at the words penis and vagina even before they know what those words mean...

Penis size is never actually an issue unless, like JohnDoe said, you've got something tiny. And by tiny I'm talking maybe an inch erect and invisible when flaccid. Actually having a massive appendage can be more of a nuisance than an asset - it can be rather uncomfortable for the woman in some circumstances. Sure, I know the biology of the female form - it can stretch to accommodate a baby blah blah blah - but that's going out, not going in. So if you've got a friend boasting a massive penis (who isn't one of the 99.9% of men LYING about it), then he's either worked out a method of penetration which doesn't skewer the poor woman or he's sleeping with a hooker. Either way, not to be envied all that much.
