Get so much attention when they come on sites like this? Like, i've never totally grasped the concept, perhaps because I am a girl gamer, but still :L.

For example, I went to contribute to the "What does everyone look like?" thread, and I noticed that any girl that posted her picture got a TON of likes, while guys didn't.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

-Claire.

I play as a girl in Runescape, in one day i got 3 million gp from one dude cus i 'flirted' with him. The power of the vagina is amazing on the internet.

P.S
:L <- the hell is that? you post it like, every time. It vaguely looks like an emoticon such as: :I or :T it just kinda looks like a drooling face...

P.P.S:

Well, I should change my gender next time I jump on Runescape.

I am legitimately curious as to what goes through a guy's head when he does anything even remotely like this after finding someone on the internet who just might be a girl. Like when a girl pops into an Xbox Live party and every guy just starts talking to her and nobody else. I am quite flabbergasted by it.

I have no idea.
The guy i got the 3mill off of asked me a bunch of personal questions that i just lied about. Then i just acted bubbly and sh*t with him. Used a lot of :3 and ;). Its all it took really.

Maybe is just a primal need to be loved/liked by some one of the opposite sex weather it be physical or not. He did not know what i sounded like all he knew is that i was using a female avatar and was super friendly. If i was using a guy avatar (and slightly different wording when talking to him) we might as well ended up good friends. But i hardly doubt he would have given me any thing

Because males are the common type of sex to game, right? So when they realize that their is someone of the opposite sex who also games, then, well, thats when the story of the birds and bees comes into play. (Lolpun, into play, get it? No? Damn..)

On a slightly more serious and to-the-point sort of note, when females post their pictures on forums they always say "oh, I just took it really quickly and I look a mess and I'm so fat and ugly" - but then they slap on some make-up, dress accordingly (usually with cleavage showing) and pose and pout until they are completely happy with the picture before posting it.

It's rare to find someone who genuinely just snaps and runs before showing a bunch of international strangers their face...so the end result is nearly always someone looking at their best and all nice and prettied - men are wonderful creatures but it doesn't seem to take much for a lot of them to start drooling. And so the Like button is mashed to oblivion.

/my theory.

I witnessed this on another forum not too long ago.
A new female member sporting a ghetto booty (neatly displayed in her sig with "I'm new, come talk to me"), got more +rep for posts along the lines of "Jack of Blades is bad" in a week than most other members for multiparagraph psychoanalytic essays of Scythe would ever dream of. Not to mention her profile page, full with 7 pages of... conversation. One member cleverly noted that "this was the place people come to fap".
