You have to rename or move YOUR finalAlbion.wad.
The WAD File is the maps. And the free roam application UNZIPS them.
Your Fable game is still using FinalAlbion.wad so if you rename or move it it'll start using the maps you altered in the folder. Understand?

So I just rename it? Let me try it out, going to make it FinalAlbion2.


EDIT: THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I finally got a chest spawned in! Now I'm happily slaying people with my Minion WarDog blade, thanks again =)

Renaming it should do the Trick. FinalAlbion2.Wad should be good.

If you don't rename or delete it Fable will keep using the finalalbion.wad instead of the extracted files (levs and tngs).

You can't access chests underground...

im trying to extract the files so i can open the world editor on albion explorer but i cant find finalalbion.wad. what have i done wrong?

If you've installed Fable on your computer it should be there somewhere.
Try going to
START->SEARCH and look for it that way.

nope ive got a file that is named fable and has my screenshots in it but thts all

Well..You can't PLAY fable WITHOUT finalalbion.wad.
Try Microsoft Games
or Levels Try looking for thouse.

Are you searching for all files and folders. Perhaps they're hidden. go to Tools (on any open folder) and Folder options. And put Show all hidden files and folders.



I mean. You can't play fable without these files. :O Perhaps someone uninstall-ed fable? Iunno man :lol: If you can't find them..you can't use free roam.

sorry, another problem, i did every thing on the free roam setup guide to extract the files you helped me find but when i click on world editor in albion explorer i get an error message saying it failed to open the file and have extracted the WAD files. what should i do

Go into your levels folder and make sure there's another folder there

ok i made a copy of final albion.wad and named it final albion2.wad and move the origanal to my documents is tht right?

That works. But do you have a folder like me IN that folder? The Folder called FinalAlbion

i did tht now mine looks like yours and i put the original in the new folder but it still gives me the error message

If you like. Open Albion Explorer.
Click on FILE->> Change folder and try that.
