Pehaps Peter's words were meant to point out the never-ending concept of Fable. That after beating the game you can play on with your Hero for all eternity - and searching for something that doesn't exist takes...?

An eternity. :shifty:

Think thats almost perfect way of putting it, but its the fans that keep the concept going with the rumours and concepts.

im seeing alot of what if's and wouldnt it be cool if the dark shadow of apathy is starting to blind us i say we all go our own paths and try and find something follow the bards clues people have been trying random clues but he gave them to us in an order he said it was time based so lets follow the clues like steps

Then follow your path but i believe that the Singing Sword etc you all seek is nothing more than Quest code the designers forgot to remove before they released the game as it was forced to be brought out prematurely after countless delays.

Most likely. Though I do think we will see the Singing Sword and the Better Bard in Fable 2.

Why?

Well, remember all the fuss about Dragon Cliff and the Dragon being a "left-out" boss before The Lost Chapters were released....

I'd be terribly dissapointed if the Singing Sword and the Better Bard didn't appear in Fable 2, actually! After all this hype and all.

Re: The singing sword

maybe if we all ask nicely the better bard from xbox .com will come here because the ppl there were mean to him and were quick to dismiss it as a hoax but we have more belivers than them and we would actualy listen to what he has to say

Re: The singing sword

Personally, I think it is a hoax aswell. With all the poking around the files and stuff most people seem to suggest that the Better Bard and the Singing Sword was supposed to be in the game, but didn't make it.

Though, as for the Better Bard of xbox.com, you gotta give him some credits for is effort! I think it was pretty clever and all. ^_^

Depends as some people are sick of hearing about it and might hope they dont include it as some people might get pics from Fable 2 and try to pass them off as ones they have found on Fable 1...

Re: The singing sword

k, i just beat the game (i was evil) so i decieded (once i got bored of running around slautering people) that i would start a new file, and be good;. in my last file, i heard what the oracle says about the singing sword, however, think it was gonna be a quest, but they removed it. reason? we all know about the weird modded xbox thing, and the music box. i was in bowerstone south, and int he clothing shop, right at the teleport pad migigy, i went to the 2nd floor, and much to my superise THERE WAS A BARD. he was dressed normaly, exept with a weird hat, kinda like the one on the trader head trophy. i paid him to sing (wondering if it was anything special) and it was completely normal, exept at the very begging, he said somthing about getting a better bard. then, i did the "escort traders through darkwood" quest, and one of them said "ya know i ran into that wondering bard fellow, nice chap, but he couldent sing to save his life" yup, there definatly was a singing sword quest, but i think they took it out (the card at least, they might have accidently left in the little sayings like "oh yeah i ran into him" and shiz)
they probably took it out becuase of glitches, much like how there's only chldren in bowerstone, and not other citys.

I remember one of them saying that but thought nothing of it at the time as no-one had mentioned the singing sword by then.

i think there is no children in other cities because if there was then there would be chance you could kill them and they probably didnt want that in it.

k, i went to bowerstone south again, and the bard was there, again. so i paid him, and wrote down what he said, all he did was say it, then he was done.

Alas! alack! This man of is renderd dumd. His task too hard! My muse in legend doth belong. You need to find a better bard
