Basically, post what you think are the most over rated games of all time. It can be a series of games or a stand alone series.

There is a difference between "overrated" and "dislike". If you don't like a game, then don't put it here. Think about the hype and whatnot it received then think about playing the game. Did it live up to the hype? Was it as good as everyone said it was? Then post.

Halo 3 was a little overrated. Halo Wars was really overrated, but I want to buy it because I enjoy RTS games alot.

FPSs are overrated. Yes, they're fun, but people play them obsessively for hours at a time. Not to mention that most of those people are playing online, which is not even fun to me on a FPS.

More specifically, Halo is overrated. Again, it's fun, but it's just the same as any other FPS. I really don't understand why it's gotten all of the recognition that it has.

I also agree with Daemon about music games like Guitar Hero. I've played them enough to know that nothing about them is fun.

Most the games ive seen listed in here werent overated they were overhyped.

Brute Force remains my most overated game title. It was hyped to be a Halo Killer and rated around 8 or 9 out of 10 and it was more like a 5 out of 10 game with some slightly good things about it.

i remember kill zone was gunna be a "halo killer" just goes to show the effect halo had on the gaming industry

I was going to add that also Killzone (original as only played that one) was overrated too. Branded another Halo Killer and it was a bland boring stereotypical shooter i got bored of it after 2 hours. Another game i want to add is Fight Night Round 4. Round 3 was not a bad game and the first game used to show off the 360's graphics originally. I enjoyed the game though, however i played Fight Night Round 4 for about an hour and didnt like it and its now on Ebay. Though it got really good reviews everywhere i just didnt enjoy it and it didnt feel right.
