Apart from new assassinations, weapons, items, outfits, economy system, varying sub mission types, bigger cities, better upgrades, being able to steal weapons and new distraction techniques no not much different at all.

I'll agree that there's loads of new features and it's completely different but at the same time, It's the same. You know?

I just preferred the first one s'all.

And I hate, and I mean HATE Final Fantasy, but others love it. Does that mean it is overrated? No, it means I DISLIKE the game. It is in no way overrated at all. So people dislike Fallout 3, so it means it is overrated is what you are saying?

The Halo series.

I've just never understod the "brilliance" of these shooters, or the universe and settings. And yes, I did play Halo 1 and 2 before I played 3.

The Sims series.

Ugh. Where to begin? People everywhere swear by the genius of these games, but besides torturing your Sims I've never seen the appeal of them.

Ugh. Where to begin? People everywhere swear by the genius of these games, but besides torturing your Sims I've never seen the appeal of them.

The first was interesting for a while as it was a new idea and rather funny. Then when they started churning expansion packs out faster than the speed of light it turned into a cash cow. I played The Sims 1 and 2 and got bored while playing the 2nd and came to the same conclusion as you pretty much. I have a life to lead, dont need to relive that life in a game.

Have to say that Assassin's Creed Two is boring the crap out of me - I really wanted to like it and I do like how you no longer get chased by guards all the time - but instead you get chased by Ezio's "enemies", which is kinda the same thing really, so...yeah...

One major criticism I have with AC2 is that they are building on the assumption that you have played the first one already - now I completely understand this because of course it would make sense to have played AC1 first but there is literally nothing to help you out during the beginning of this game. Had I not button mashed for a while I wouldn't have had a clue how to fight as Desmond and I found the whole first hour or so completely tedious and dull. I just don't feel anything for any of the characters, the voice acting isn't all that hot and I'm not seeing a massive difference - sure, there are more "things" but not much in the way of major noticeable advancements as far as I'm concerned.

At the end of AC1 I was wanting to see what would happen next but when AC2 begins, I was just confused and found it to be a bit like it was dragging its feet and not wanting to give much away - or indeed enough to keep me interested long enough to carry on with it. Sometimes game developers need to take a leaf from the written word - in a series, there is always some sort of catch up, however brief, to bring everyone up to speed. It wouldn't be such a bad thing to include in future AC projects. I just think they focused on some things at the expense of others.

Mm, if only everyone had common sense to know that when someone uses the words "best ever", "it sucks", "i hate", "it's awesome", etc.. that it is an opinion and to not mistaken it for them passing around facts. Unfortunately, not everyone possesses common sense.

It really became overrated once Sims 2 came out and Will Wright left, at first the game was really funny and just plain weird.. then EA & Maxis felt the need to make it more real (like an offline Second Life) and less funny & interesting, quickly becoming a playground for little girls to share their little barbie doll creations (of course, they did that with Sims 1).

As they say, The Sims = The game where you live the life of someone else, because you don't have one.

I felt ACII is a more complete game than AC in the fact that AC seemed interesting and a good idea in concept but poorly executed. There were some nice ideas in there that were just bad design choices and felt tedious or not presented in the right way. The reason i actually praised ACII was that Ubisoft (unlike many developers) seemed to have listened to the fans and fixed most things people disliked with the first.

A shame the story isnt as well explained as it could be as its a really deep story and also a shame they treat newcomers to the series as if they should automatically understand everything. Would be like tuning into Season 3 of Lost without watching or hearing anything about it. You would have no idea what the hell is going on (though probably bad example as ive seen every episode and still quite clueless) :lol:.
