Re: The Oblivion Thread!

I've got sort of a... noobish question. I joined the Dark Brotherhood and I do like it, but how do I continue with the main plot? Because I want to keep going and see what is in store.

Just go into your quest log and find the mission thats got - (Main Quest) or something like that near it and select that one and it will be highlighted on your map where you have to go to continue it.

Ah, the Dark Brotherhood. An exciting questline is in store for those of an... er... darker nature. Also, with the main quest, you will NOT be disappointed. It is one of the best main questlines of any rpg I have seen. Trust me though, it's a wild ride with alot of chaos. Perhaps you'll like it. ^_^

Next to my beloved Thieves Guild you mean... ^_^ Hey, for those robin-hoodsy types, this may be an interesting step. The Guild steals from the rich and gives to the poor... technically, seeing as a lot of thieves can be poor... The guild quests for any faction are some of the best fun you may have in the game next to doing whatever you want.

The Theives Guild is a must as Stealing is just to fun and you have to have some way to get rid of all the gear you have stolen for some gold :P

Re: The Oblivion Thread!

It's one of the many perks of Oblivion I must say, as you can be who you want to be, regardless of any limitations. I am naturally a thief in the game. I really cannot bring myself to try a different path than that, as bizzare as it may sound. You have to admit- it's fun sneaking around houses and... liberating some goods. For example in the Talos Plaza district of the Imperial City, Jakben Imbel's (quite the name, eh?) secrecy was puzzling me, so I broke into his house about five times, getting chased off by his servant before I finally met the guy. It's just that sort of random fun that keeps the game going.

Yeah you have got to love the freedom, i break into everywhere really, the houses, the cellars, the shops and just steal anything that isnt nailed down to sell :P

Re: The Oblivion Thread!

Not to compare Fable to Oblivion which has been done countless times, but what is the logic in having to take about two minutes just to rob a sword? Can't you just snatch it up and run? That's why I liked Oblivion's whole stealing system better.

Re: The Oblivion Thread!

Thats all very nice, but no one answered my question...

Re: The Oblivion Thread!

Okay, my game is crashing almost non-stop. Now, will downloading the patch fix this? And will it change any of my prefereces/saved games?

Depends, it just exiting the game or you getting an error at all?

Check here to see if there are any threads on your problem, might just require a video driver update:

Bethesda Game Studios Forums -> Hardware and Software Issues

Patch shouldnt change anything i dont think.

Re: The Oblivion Thread!

My game will crash at random, although it doesn't exit it does freeze. I'll be sure to check out that link.

Most technical questions have been answered somewhere there anyway, if you need any advice or anything just let me know.

Re: The Oblivion Thread!

what is there to do after u do all the quests and stuff from xbox live marketplace, besides kill people

Re: The Oblivion Thread!

I downloaded the patch, and it did nothing...

Re: The Oblivion Thread!

Besides starting over as a new character, I'd say nothing. Then again, you could go play Morrowind, I liked it more than Oblivion and playing a rooted classic is quite fun.

Re: The Oblivion Thread!

Is there a single most powerful weapon in the game?
