So, which applies to you?

1. I did everything you said but my game crashed

2. I did everything you said and nothing appeared

If 1:

You did a script error or installed a bad mod. Share the script with me and I can fix it.

If 2:

Possible problems:
1. You havn't used freeroam properly. Make sure FreeRoam is in full working order. If you already have the FinalAlbion folder from using FreeRoam in the file directory: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Fable The Lost Chapters\data\Levels, then go to the same directory and rename the file FinalAlbion.wad. I recommend naming it something like Backup_FinalAlbion.wad. When done, Fable won't use FinalAlbion.wad and it will use the folder. It is the folder which is edited with Albion Explorer.
2. You didn't save the level when you made the chest. Idiot/Noob mistake, but most have done it. I did it once. I had a HUGE level redo and I lost it all:'(
3. If you edited an existing chest which you've already seen or been to in-game, you will need to change the UID. Otherwise changes won't show up.

Re: Spawning Chests

See my post above.

1. Is FreeRoam WORKING? As in, can you walk anywhere?
If yes:
The chest script is wrong.
If no:
Check if you have done this:
Have you renamed FinalAlbion.wad? You have to do this. To do this, go to:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Fable The Lost Chapters\data\Levels
Rename the file FinalAlbion.wad to anything. I named mine Backup_FinalAlbion.wad. But before doing this, make sure you have a folder in the Levels folder called FinalAlbion. Otherwise, your game will crash. If you don't have a folder called FinalAlbion, you havn't done FreeRoam correctly.

Re: Spawning Chests

If you are using AE, it will be in the top right corner of the area you added it to. You should move the map to that area then scroll in til you see it. It may help to click the word in the left to highlight the name of the area you are adding to, then the sides of that area will be lit-up so you know which square/rectangle to scroll to.

Re: Spawning Chests

Um, I have a problem. Once I open up Albion Explorer, and choose the "Levels" folder, I get the region list, but then after I press "World Editor" it says that Albion Explorer stopped working...
Halp?

Have you used FreeRoam?

If not, it's mandatory.

If you have, you've obviously not done it right ;)

Re: Spawning Chests

And it's 100% working? As in, you can walk anywhere?

If so, are you on Vista or XP?

The fact it stops working as it's loading suggests the files aren't in the right place.

Re: Spawning Chests

Right.

Read This.

Take ownership of ALL your files. The fact that it tries to load and fails, is because it doesn't have permission to open or change any files in Program Files. This is why it won't load, because Albion Explorer was made in XP, where you didn't need permission.

I don't have it in the original location. I have it under:
Public\games\Fable TLC

That explains everything.

In the Albion Explorer folder, there is a notpad file called Albion Explorer.

It should look vaguelly like this. This is mine:
[Settings]

FableRegistry = Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Fable\1.0
Splash = true

[MiniMaps]

Folder = minimaps

[WorldEditor]

IconsXML = icons\icons.xml
ObjectCull = 1.5
ZoomStep = 0.3
FitScreen = true
ShowLevelTools = true
ShowWorldLocation = true

[Templates]

ContentsFile = templates\templates.ini

If i'm correct, you have to change the Fable registry. But that is as far as I know. Try it.

If it doesn't work, make sure you kept a backup of this file.

You really should have installed it in the default place.
